Has anyone booked the free dining with a CAA discount or can the two not be combined? If so, what is the savings? On mousesavers it shows 20% off of values and mod but I am not sure if that is for room only.

You can't combine a CAA rate with free dining. If you book the dining plan, you have to pay rack rate for the room as well as buy at least a 1 day park ticket. CAA discounts are on the room only. The discounts vary - it depends on the time of year and the type of resort (value, moderate, deluxe). Hope that helped.

Last Sept my DD and I were considering going to WDW when I found a great airfare through Expedia. Trying to price it out, I went to CAA to find out if I could get a discount on the tickets or USF tickets (We live in BC so most discounts here are only for DL and US in California). She then told us about the free dining and as I already knew that we wanted to stay at POR she quoted us a price. I brought it home to discuss it with DH. In the meantime, DU quoted us a price that was a bit cheaper. CAA matched this price as they "forgot to give us the CAA discount". So, I guess I got a discount of some sort plus the free dining. We did pay rack rate for the room and I think our discount was probably only 5-10%. No discount for the USF tickets.

I'm a CAA TA... sometimes it is available sometimes it is sold out. The best bet would be to check with CAA and check the exact same package with WDW direct and see if there is a difference!!! :goodvibes
