FREE Dining - What do you do for breakfast???

i like the yogurt parfaits for breakfast. Last time we were there they were included as a snack.

When we were on the regular DDP, we ate a large breakfast, a snack for lunch, and a large dinner. That was plenty for us!

in the POR foodcourt,, $1.47 for 4 slice of bread,, with the free jam/jelly and the toaster this can be a light start to the day plus we have our refill mugs so are sorted,, would not waste a snack credit on anything less than $3.

Or you could buy your own loaf and toast it in the food court for free plus get the butter n jelly there too,,, that just gave me a good idea,, thanks peeps

We take cereal bars in our case and have them in the room with our morning coffee, then I plan on using our snack credit mid morning for a snack.

While I'm getting ready...DH and goes to the food court, at POFQ, and brings "BEIGNETS" back the the room most mornings ( he uses a snack credit).
I'm not a big breakfast person...just need me some java to wake up!!

Are the "BEIGNETS" at POR food court too or just at POFQ,, i think i may need to taste these

Beignets are only at POFQ...sorry...but it's a short walk from Riverside.

I did not book early enough to get a Dining reservation at Chef Mickey for breakfast. Any ideas how likely it would be to get a table for two if I just showed up there one morning and hoped for a no show or cancellation? We are going at the end of this month.

Luckily I did book a few others that I wanted to go to.

Thank you,

Adam

When are you going? I have two reservations (in case our train is getting in late on Oct. 26, I have a res on Nov. 2 for breakfast) If we make the first one, I'll be cancelling the second one.

Thank you mchelle77

We are going to be down first week of September and coming back for beginning of school. Thank you so much for that offer.

Adam

The first two times we did FD DH and I used our CS credits mostly for breakfast. Then we had a snack for lunch and went to an early dinner. This time I think we might split more CS meals and probably pay OOP for some snacks to stretch them. But, we'll still be eating dinner early.

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Just wondering what people do about breakfast with their FREE Dining. I am all set for lunch and dinners (we are going 8/19-8/25), but wondering what do you do for breakfast. Do you use your snack credit for breakfast or do you bring stuff with you??? We are flying and just doing a carryon bag each so space may be at a premium. Also how do you find "snack" credit things that would be good for first thing in the morning?

Thanks for the help - this is our first trip to Disney. :cool1:

we stop at walmart and buy snacks, cokes and stuff for us to eat for breakfast

We love breakfast so we are having a mixture of CS and breakfast buffets then using our snack credit in the afternoon to get something from places like the bakeries then having dinner. I can't imagine eating 3 full meals a day plus a snack and dessert after dinner. But I think it would be a waste to use snack credits on something like a muffin with all the options you have. You can get things like slices of cake and so on.

Flight restrictions make it difficult to bring food but you can definitely pack dry cereal (purchased sealed in bowls); snack cakes; granola; pop tarts; and basic fruit in your carry on. Liquids of course would have to be purchased on property. We've made it down with a few large Smart Water bottles packed in the center of our checked bags for taking meds/vitamins (can't stand the FL water!) but you run the risk of spills of course. You might consider using your snack for juice or milk.

If you are a coffee drinker, a refillable mug may be beneficial for you. The coffee is not super at WDW but it will do in a pinch! :)

Another thing we do is look at what time the table meal is scheduled for the day. If you are saving it for supper time a big hearty counter meal breakfast at your resort may be just the ticket. You could then take some snacks into the park with you from home and get a drink with your snack credit for a mid-day pick me up. If you are eating lunch as your table service - a light breakfast will probably be adequate, some snacks for the afternoon, and save your counter for supper.

I hope you have a wonderful time. The DDP is just wonderful! We get to enjoy it for free in just a few shorts weeks!!

Keep trying! I did the same thing in June. I was calling everyday to get in. Finally, on the drive down there, the day of arrival, they had an opening at 7:45am for Chef Mickey's the day I wanted to go! :goodvibes
