Free Dining - Upgrading Kids to Adult?

Thinking of upgrading our almost 9 year olds to the adult DDP. We are booked with free dining so the cost would not be very much.

My main question is about what they can order. Can they still order from the kids menu if they like the options bettern at the TS restaurants? If so, can they get an adult portion of a kids menu item or will they get the same small kids portion no matter if they are listed as an adult or child?

Hope this makes sense. Thanks for the help/suggestions!

Yes if you want they can order off the kids menu. If you want an adult size portion they may give it to you if you ask.

I believe you will need to also upgrade their park tickets to adults, too. Isn't that still the case?
