free dining & suites

Does anyone know if free dining was included with the All Star Suites last year? Thanks!

No, the Family Suites were not included with the Free Dining package last year.

To the best of my knowledge, you could not get free dining last year w/ the All Star suites. They are usually excluded from many of the specials that are run by Disney. I guess since the suites are a cost effective way to stay on property w/ a larger group, Disney doesn't feel the need to include them. ASMu Suites seem to be more difficult (not impossible) to get unless booked farther out than many of the other 'on property' accomodations. I would consider just getting adjoining rooms for the free dining. It would be the same amount of space. Only thing you'd be missing was fridge and microwave. And with free dining do you really need those? If you really need a fridge, you could rent one or join one of the fridge swaps here on these boards. Good luck w/ your planning.

Will one be able to get the regular dining plan (paid for) while staying in one of the suites, or is it generally not available to ANYONE staying in any suites?

You can add the dining plan to a regular package in the suites. That is what I have reserved at the minute. Also this year free dining included the suites for the UK visitors who booked a package including minimum 5 day park tickets. That package had to be booked last year via UK tour operators and you had to purchase flights via them too. Hence no good for me as I now I can book cheaper seperately and wouldnt need 5 day tickets as we are AP holders.

I just got off the phone with a CM and they could not confirm or deny if the dining was coming out. She could not deny or confirm if the "family suites" is included. Does anyone know, I am hearing both ways? Please help me, I would rather stay in a bigger room and pay a little more and get free dining...vs POR smaller room, free dining...If it comes out! I wonder if I should upgrade to a deluxe..for the size. Hmm, something to check into.

The information isn't out yet. Everyone is speculating and using information and the rules from last year to make their best guess to what will happen this year if free dining applies.
