Free Dining - Sold Out: Resorts, Dates??

I've now secured a room at Pop with free dining, for 14th Sept to 24th Sept. Sooo excited!! Can't wait!

We have been booked for All-Star MO 9/12 - 9/18 but trying to get into POP. For the last few weeks there have been no rooms at POP available for our week, but after checking almost everyday for weeks it became available. We got switched to POP this morning. We chose a preferred room but standards were available as well.

yesterday was the 14th day for visa card holders... so anything that did not have a deposit cancelled overnight... the scenario will likely be repeated next thursday/friday...

Pop definitely seems to be the most preferred of the values.
Why?
1) Its the newest and thus may be in overall better condition.
2) It never shares buses with another resort (the AllStars sometimes do).
3) It is more centrally located than the AllStars.
4) The foodcourt is supposedly better at Pop than the others.

We stayed at Pop our last trip and we liked it. Haven't stayed at any of the AllStars. We are currently booked at CSR for our Sept trip, but now that Pop has opened up for our dates I'm considering switching over and saving some money! On the other hand, I never even considered staying at AllStar Sports when that was the only value available, I immediately went up to the moderates. Just a matter of personal preference, I guess.

Okay, I am so excited! Yesterday, I got a wild hair and decided to try to book free dining for Pop for Aug. 31-4th!! 1st time only moderates were available and I tried back an hr later and got Pop!!! Now, I went home lastnight to tell the inlaws about it and they wanted to go. So, I got on the phone and tried twice for a room for them @ Pop and nothing came up. Called 1st thing this morning and got them Pop!!! We are so excited cause we've never done the DP before!! And it's FREE!!!! I added them to all of our ADRs too with no problem!!! Hooray!! Now I have added just one more trip to Disney this yr and that is making a total of 7 trips this year. I can't stand it! I asked the CM yesterday if I was crazy for making so many trips and she said, "No, it's a blessing"! Well put!

Yes, you can book free dining online!
This is how I do it (there may be other ways):
go to www.disney.go.com
across the top, click on travel
on the right, under travel offers, you will see Walt Disney World Resort and "FREE OFFER!" underneath it. Click there, and it will take you to a new page with the free dining offer, just plug in your dates and see what's available. Good luck!

YEAH...was able to cancel Pop and move to the Movies! You could definitely tell when the deposit deadline came and went as ALL of the Value resorts openened up on Monday and Tuesday. Now I am just hoping a standard room will open up.

Can't wait for free dining...come on August!

When I booked the first thurs. of the sale, I was unable to get my inlaws into a standard room at Pop for 9/16-9/22. A preferred room popped up after a few tries (and after their computers crashed and came back up.) I took it.

I checked on Tues. night and saw a standard available online, so called the GG line and was ale to switch them to standard. So either rooms are opening up or more are being added. Keep trying everyone!
