Free Dining Rules Question

So, not that I've actually GOTTEN free dining for our trip this November, but I'm thinking positively, here ;). I know that you cannot keep free dining if you switch resorts (you have to buy new base tickets, etc), BUT is it possible to switch rooms at the SAME resort and keep your free dining?? We'll be there in November (beginning the 15th) for 11 nights. We're paying for the hotel for the first seven, plus tickets, etc. DH then has a conference that begins the Friday after Thanksgiving, so his work will pay the hotel for the last four nights. We're currently booked at AOA, but we've always wanted to try the pirate rooms at CBR. If I booked us in a regular CBR room for the first 7 nights, could we switch to a pirate room for the last four and still keep free dining?? Might as well have DH's company pay for the pirate room ;).--Katie

Only if the day you start your stay at CBR is included in the Free Dining dates. Disney doesn't really recognize split stays, to them it is two seperate reservations. You would also have to buy a second ticket(s) with your second resort stay.

Yes the PP is correct. It may not save as much as you think because if you have to buy seperate tix, you will be paying more for them. Could you do a Pirate room for the whole time?

BOO! I knew those were the rules for switching resorts, but I was hoping it was different if we stayed at the same resort. It's about $230 more for a pirate room for the first seven nights. Maybe we could swing it-- only if we got free dining, though!!! --Katie

A regualr room and a Pirate room are 2 different room categories so even though you'll still be at the same resort, it would have to be 2 different reservations.

Hope you get what you want!
