Free dining question

I just updated my summer trip with the free dining offer, but nothing looks different and it says nothing about the dining plan when I look at my reservation. Is this normal!? Shouldn’t it show that I now have the dining plan??

I should have dinning plan. It happened with me this morning. I changed using my cellphone, but nothing happened in my reservation. So, I did the same steps and same changes using the PC. Then I got a error message.

So, when I looked at my reservation again, it was changed.

But, be sure that you really did all the steps to do the changes.

I've tried to add it to my existing package reservation multiple times, with my pc and my phone. I get an error message every time. So now I'm on hold for the next 30 minutes or so to try to add it with a CM.

Anyone else have any luck adding to an existing reservation?

You can't just add a new promo to an existing reservation. There has to be a new reservation available in the system under the new promo.

Actually when you look at the deals and offers, it gives you an option to check and see if you can add it to an existing reservation. The feature wouldn't work for me. My screen just kept refreshing. I think they were just super busy. I ended up calling. It took about 30 minutes but I had no issue adding free dining to my existing reservation. I was also able to upgrade it to the Disney Dining Plan

Because there was still availability for your dates at your resort/room type under the promo. If any of those factors is "sold out" you would have needed to change the existing reservation or not added the free dining.
