If we book the free quick service meal for a stay this summer, is there a way to upgrade to the regular quick service dining plan?

Unless there's something highly unusual about a specific offer, the answer is yes. You can always upgrade a free dining package to a higher tier of dining plan, for the price difference between the plans. The one-meal-a-day QS plan has a cost in the system that allows for upgrading, even though the plan isn't available for direct purchase outside of the package promotion.

It's just one free QS meal per person per night, same as last year.

The price per adult is approximately $40 per night for the upgrade. Sorry, we don't know the price for kids.
