Free Dining question

I have a friend who has decided she'd like to bring her step children along on their Disney vacation this summer. She is currently booked, with free dining at the end of August. If she adds them to the reservation, she will need another room. Do you think she'll be able to add a room and get the free dining for the other three kids since she has a current reservation? Her reservations are not for the current free dining dates. Thanks for any advice or answers

My friend called today and got her answer. The CM told her she could, yeah! Then when they went to finalize the CM got an error on her screen - can't add a room She can add people but no room with the free dining. Oh well, she tried.

So have her add as many as she can to her room, and have them book the other room on a separate reservation. Get FD for as many as possible and let them sleep in whatever room they choose.

Perhaps she can change resorts, keeping the FD, to a resort that has a larger room occupancy, and then add the kids.

Central reservations will show zero availability as the offer is over. You might get some pixie dust if a supervisor gets involved.

Actually you can make changes to the resort. I have done this for clients several times. You cannot add a room though as that is considered a new reservation. What if she went to the All Star Music Family Suite? Can they all fit?

Family suites are usually the first to fill as there are so few of them. It is unlikely that there would be any vacancy and even less that there would be availability still under the promotion.

Of course, it never hurts to ask!
