free dining question......

Last Novemeber we moved to Tampa. This feb we became proud passholders. We are wanting to go for DD 11th birthday, which so happens to be during free dining. No, we do not have a Disney Visa So can someone help me please. How can we get the free dining and use our passes? Also, does AAA have a room discount during that same time? We have never done this before, and could really use the help! Thanks!

book a package w/ a 1day ticket for everyone. The DDP whether it is free or not only requires you to have a one day ticket. When you renew you Passes use the one day ticket towards your new pass or save them.

If you are FL resident, already have an annual pass and AAA. You should just go online to AAA and book room only whenever you want to go and pay out of pocket for dining. This is what my in laws do and in MOST cases you will save money, even if you eat at one Table service everyday. If you really want the dining plan (I love the convience and having everything prepaid, so I understand) then you will have to book a magic your way package at RACK RATE (no AAA discount) with a one day ticket for (I believe) everyone in your room. Then you use your annual pass on the other days. You can price the package by going to Disney's web site and typing in your days and a 1 day ticket for the magic your way base package. That is the price because the dining will just be added on for free. BUT AAA prices are great at that time of year and if you already pd for the tickets then you better do the math to see what is better. For my family, the AAA rate is better than free dining because I am staying deluxe and have only 2 adults and 1 kid on the dining plan, and I even have to buy tickets. Good luck, Marriedmyprince
