While past discounts don't necessarily reflect future discounts, it's a pretty safe bet that if the promotion is offered for your dates, it will be the standard
DDP at AKL. (Gr8 above me is correct that historically, Mods and higher received the DDP. Values now receive the QSDP typically, since... 2010? I think).
Depending on your party makeup, this may or may not be a better deal than 30% off of room rate and math would come in handy here.
For example: Standard Room rates at AKL for your dates are $330 Sun-Thu and $355 Fri-Sat. So, rack rate before tax will be $2690.00. Adding tax (13.5% at AKL last I knew) nets you 3053.15. With the 30% discount the rates are lower (duh, go me for figuring that out!

), which also makes the total tax lower (since, last I checked, they were taxed post discount). This means that you'd pay $1883.00 before tax, or $2137.21 after (post tax numbers may vary slightly if tax is applied on the daily room rate vs the entire room rate, but those will be small rounding things). This means that you're saving ~$914.94 with the 30% off code.
Now, comparing it to the free dining promotion can seem tricky, but it's really not. $914.94 / 8 (your number of nights) yields you a savings of ~$114.49 saved per night (rounded down). So long as your dining plans would total more than that, you'll save money compared to room discount plus buying the plan. This comes out to just about 2 adults and 1 child. (~$51 per adult, ~$15 per child). If your room category is higher, that would skew the numbers toward the room discount + buying the DDP.
Of course, this is all way more information than you asked for... I'm putting off putting time into reprocessing my Disney photos from last trip

. (It also goes on the presupposition that the DDP would work for your traveling party and style if not, then other considerations would come into play, which I won't list for you here

)
