Free dining promotion?

I have read some post about the free dining promotion ends at the middle to end of sept. What is that. We are going the second week of sept and just wondering.

Free dining was a promotion that Disney ran in the spring. You have to book at least 3 nights at a Disney resort with the Dining Plan and Magic Your Way tickets and you received the Dining Plan for free. The trip had to be booked by the end of June-can't remember the exact date-in order to get the discount.
I don't think-again, not sure-that you would be able to call and get the discount now as the promotion is over and I don't know the details of your stay. I would try calling anyway to see if they'd be willing to give you the discount but I'm sure it would depend on exactly when you booked.

The free dining for travel Aug 26-Sep 22 had to be booked by June 24. So if it wasn't done by then, it's definitely too late. The travel agency I work for rebooks clients if a new special comes out, but I suppose all agencies don't do that. Some don't even know about the specials. Currently there is a reduced rate for lower rates...it has to be booked by July 28, and can save anywhere from $13 to $110, depending on where you're staying. There is limited availability, and not all hotels were even part of the deal...it was value and moderate resorts plus studio rooms at Saratoga Springs and Old Key West. It's not as sweet as free dining, but if you're traveling solo and staying at a moderate or it's just two people in either of the DVCVs, this actually saves more money anyway.

Sorry for the sad news...be on the lookout in April for the offer for September travel in case Disney offers it again.
