To qualify for free dining, I know you have to pay rack rate.

Is this the package rate I get on disneyworld.com for room and park tickets? Or is it more than that?

it should be the same thing you get online.l

Does this mean if I book a package through AAA and get a discount on the room and I want to add the free dining (if available) I have to forfeit my AAA room discount and pay rack rate??????

We went to Disney last Oct, and we got the AAA discount and the free dining. I don't know if they have changed the policy but our AAA agent got us the free dining with our package. Good Luck and have fun!

Okay, so help the math challenged. I currently have a package with two rooms at CSR September 10-15 at 40% off, with the dinning plan and PH tickets.

So to determine if I would be better off with free dining if it is offered, I can go to the Disney website, put in all the specifics of my reservations (I have two) but leave off the DDP, and then I can compare that total with the total I am paying now for my 40% off package. Right? That should be my answer?

Sounds right to me. The price on the web site would be rack rate.

Alrighty then!

Package #1: $1492.96 now, with 40% off/$1429.36 with rack rate and free dining.

Package #2: $1994.74 now, with 40% off/$1736.19 with rack rate and free dining.

Looks like free dining would save us $322.15 over the 40% off code.

I still would like to know why you can't go to the disney website and get the same price you would be quoted by a CM by calling. Does anyone actually book online at rack rate? Why can't they have you log in and if there is a code attached to your name, it automatically applies the code if you are making an online reservation? Or tells you about discounts that you qualify and can apply to your reservation? Why not be able to make ADRs at the website? I know that would put a lot of CMs out of a job, but I would love to be able to do it all myself online instead of calling.

This is not allowed. It has been stated here by many, including moderators and I called my AAA agent.I was told they cannot do this. Could you have thought you were getting both, did you actually separate the charges? I would love, as some have said to see a copy of your reservation. Certainly your agent may have made a mistake, surely CM's do all the time.. If there was any chance of getting both ,I would be taking a completely different tract this August..

It's definately not allowed. It's possible you got it through a loop hole, but it was a mistake. Discounts can't be combined.

I would love that too! The last time I went to Disney it was the pay for four nights stay for seven deal and I was able to book that online. But it would be great if any other time I logged into their website and it could apply any code that may be attached to my name. I really hate the phone. :)

Hi Everyone,
Seems I started a little something here!:) We absolutely did get the AAA discount and the free dining - however- that discount amounted to about 100.00 less than booking the same exact trip through a cm. It was the first year of free dining so things may of changed but we did get that small discount. I don't have my paper work but we stayed at the WL for 7 nights - park hopper pluses for the entire trip and free dining/ with air from philly to MCO 3500.00. 2 adults 3 kids.

Did your trip start before value season?

Last year( and I believe in 2005) CRO priced all free dining bookings at the value season rate. Even those who started their trip during regular season had their rooms booked at value season rates.

Some DISers were posting that their TAs got them an extra discount. However, DISers who booked with WDTC/CRO were quoted the same prices.
