free dining plans in november?

I just read the posted article link and it says certain resorts were not included last year? In the past we have stayed at POR and received free dining, is that not the case anymore?

They offer free dining to fill empty rooms. If the resorts doesn't historically have a lot of empty rooms, they don't offer it.

I was looking at the dates from last year:

  • August 28 through October 2
  • October 25 through October 31
  • November 8 through November 19
  • December 15 through December 21
One thing about 2016 - Election Day is November 8 this year, which is later than 2015 (November 3). That is the traditional "Jersey Week" (the Teachers Convention is November 10 & 11), so those November dates may vary this year.

No free tickets. And technically the dining plan isn't free at all. You can get a better room deal without adding the free dining option.
Not necessarily. It depends on whether you are doing DDP and what the ages of your group are. We always do DDP, and with the ages of my kids, we technically have 4 Disney adults so the DDP costs us $2150!!!!!! That's way more than any room discount for our family. Ugh I wish everything at WDW was less expensive...but that's a whole other thread.
