Free Dining Plan

Our vacation starts in just a few days. Can't wait! We bought the dining plan, first time. What is the free dining plan? I'm seeing so much of it in these postings. Who is eligible? What exactly is it?

First of all-welcome to the DIS....

The free Dining that many are referring to are from 3 sources:

1) a "bounce back" or return incentive for if you went last Nov-Dec(I believe) you could qualify for Free dining Mid Aug-end of Sept.
2) UK incentive- they had to book by a certain date to qualify for free dining( mid August-End of Sept).
3) Disney Visa/Public Code- book by a certain date in June-using a code- and you could qualify for free dining(mid Aug-End Sept)...I think all trips needed a minimum of 3 days and poss. a max. of 10.
