We arrived to Orlando yesterday (Saturday) and checked in at the All-Stars this morning early about 9:30 a.m. (before the Magical Express Buses started). Very crowded at check-in although the crowds got worse before they got better! Surprisingly, our room was ready which the CM said was very unusual!

There were no problems getting a snack today, and no problems with the counter service.

Our dinner was scheduled for Le Cellier. We arrived about 30 minutes before our reservation and there were people walking up and still getting a table with only a 10 minute wait.

We were shown to our table almost immediately and we mentioned throughout that although there were 3 of us, we were only going to use 2 dinner credits (as in SHARE). Nobody blinked an eye, and even the server (the wonderful "Jennifer") said that it was a good idea because there would be so much food. We were treated royally and everything was explained to us about what we could get including the blender non-alcoholic drinks which were included! Our 3rd person just ordered water. We proceeded to order the 2 appetizers of steak kabobs and shrimp cocktail on wasabe cole slaw which were brought out immediately. Service was quick and the food was delicious. Breadsticks were also brought and we were asked if we wanted any more. When the entrees (salmon and 14 oz. steak) were brought out, they also brought extra plates and we didn't even have to ask.

We later ordered desserts (chocolate whiskey cake and specialty strawberry ice cream creation) and the desserts were explained to us after the dinner when they brought the special dessert menu for us to choose from.

The check was then promptly delivered (total over $100 with tip already figured in) and we just signed copy of the bill.

The only thing we didn't ask about was there was a cheese appetizer which said "served 2" and a special chef's dessert sampler which said "served 2" and we didn't ask whether that counted for 1 credit or 2.

All in all, it was a wonderful experience and everyone seemed genuinely glad to serve us. We were treated wonderfully and didn't spent a penny out of pocket for any meals or snacks! We can't wait for the rest of our dining trip.

P.S. The crowds in the parks weren't as bad as we thought they would be.
The weather was also not too bad with a breeze most of the day and a slight rainshower in the evening.

Thanks for the report. I am so excited. We leave Wednesday morning. I think we have reservations for le Cellar on Friday night. Glad to hear everything went so smoothly.

We'll be at ASMu in a 2 days and our first meal will be at LeCellier too. Glad to hear some positive news, I was getting concerned about crowds.

I am leaving Thursday morning and also will be dining at LeCellar on Friday night. :thumbsup2

thanks for the report! Sounds so fun! I have no idea how we will eat so much food LOL!

Thanks for the report, glad it is going well so far. BTW the things listed as for 2 require 2 people to share it--ex. if DH and I wanted the dessert sampler then both our dessert credits would have to be used for that.

Awww, that's disappointing. I knew the dessert counted as 2, but the cheese platter? :guilty:

Another Magical Disney Day on the Dining Plan Day 2!

We first went into Animal Kingdom and got our snacks - no problem. At noon we decided to eat lunch at the Flame Tree BarBQ. The lines were long and it was hot. Another option might have been to eat at Tusker House which is inside and air conditioned and you eat in air conditioning also - unlike Flame Tree. Anyway, we used all 3 counter services for lunch for me, husband and 17 year old son. We got the rib meal (comes with corn and baked beans) also drink and choice of chocolate cake or key lime pie or frozen lemonade for dessert. Also got smoked 1/2 chicken meal with same as above, and beef sandwich with same. If you ordered 2 of the other choices of chicken salad or fruit plate then you could also order a side item of fries, onion rings or cole slaw. The food was really good and the total came to about $40.

Dinner was scheduled for 8:00 p.m. at Rose and Crown in Epcot. We were given a pager and were called about 8:30. I told the hostess that even though there were 3 of us, we were going to be using only 2 credits. She said that was fine - just tell the server. We were seated in the covered outside area and a strong breeze was blowing so it wasn't as hot as it could have been. We ordered the shrimp cocktail appetizer, and the fruit and cheese plate appetizer. Both were plenty for the 3 of us. Our main courses were 2 of the steak and fish meals which comes with mashed potatoes and green beans. It was all really good and they also brought biscuits for the bread. Even using just 2 credits, it was too much for us to eat. Illuminations started at 9:00 and the server asked if she should postpone bringing anything to the table during the fireworks and we said no, to just bring it when it was ready. We could walk to a special viewing area for Illuminations which was wonderful. When dessert time came we asked the server if we could get it to go and she said that would be fine. She boxed up an apple crumble (minus the ice cream) and a citrus trifle. All in all, it was a nice outside meal. Total check was about $88.

Thanks for the posts! We have an 8 PM ADR for R&C one night too, good to know they'll page you in that late. Also good to hear the DDP is working as well as it is and they haven't made the portions smaller!

Glad to hear your not having any problems 'sharing' We will have 4 of us- Adults (one is 11 LOL) and I have no doubt we will want to share some days. My DH and I often share an entree at a resturant especially if we want an appy and desert...

Keep the review comming..
