Free Dining Pkg. Question About Using Tickets For AP Purchase/Renewal

Ok I have been running numbers for what feels like the past 24 hours and there are so many combinations. I'm taking a trip with my mother and sister during the free dining promtion for 1 week, problem is that I have an AP and they do not so they will need tickets. I came up with these two scenarios can anyone tell me if they would work?

1. Purchase the free dining package with just 1 day park tickets (non-hopping as they would be used just on arrival night for 1 park) and then purchase a 6 day park hopper for my mother and sister from ticketmania with the Mousesavers newsletter link. I would then save my ticket and apply it towards my AP renewal at the end of September if that is possible?


2. Purchase free dining package with 7 day park hopping tickets. This option works out to be $53 cheaper for both my mom and sister, but then I would have a 7 day hopper pass I would not need because I have an AP. Would I be able to save the 7 day hopper pass and apply that towards my AP renewal at the end of September?
