Free Dining Pin...Just for Deluxe Resorts??

I called yesterday to see if I had the PIN for free dining and yes I did. I wanted to book our family of 5 plus infant at POR but the CM told me that I could only use my PIN for free dining if I booked at a deluxe or deluxe villa. So I had to book at Poly which is way over my budget. Did anyone else get the free dining pin but only at deluxes? I called back last night but the CM was rude and wasn't helpful.

Anyone have any insight? We can't afford Poly this year.

I got the pin and it was for reg dinning at deluxe/villa and Free Quick service at mod resorts. HTH

If the previous poster is correct that quick service is free at Mods it would probably be cheaper to stay at a mod and pay to upgrade to the normal dining plan.

Mine says free ddp with Del, free qsdp with mods and values. It does need to be at least 5 nights. Seems that the cm was just plain wrong. Can you do a value family suite? You would get qsdp.

P.s the fort wilderness cabins had availabilty when i checked and would hold you all too, i am pretty sure.

Thank you for your help. Called back this morning and got a very pleasant lady who was helpful. She changed our reservation to POR and the upgraded dining plan and we saved 1100.00.

I even asked the man yesterday if there was anything else he could think of to make a moderate work and he was not at all helpful.

It is amazing to me how the difference between CMs will really make or break your trip.

How much is it to upgrade to the regular dining plan from QS? Not that I even have gotten a PIN for FD in the first place...

I called last night and was told the same thing....QS for values and mods and full dining for Deluxes. I booked POR and paid the upgrade from QS to regular dining. Even with the upgrade I saved $600 over what I would have paid without the pin.
I have to also say that the first CM I spoke to had a real attitude. He wasn't helpful and gave me some snippy answers. I asked to speak to someone else and she was lovely.

It's been so crazy how these work. I've been on the phone all day for clients, most of them had it attached to their names and never got an email, it was like winning the lottery. It wasn't just for 5 night stays, one of my clients was a 4 night stay at Pop and was able to upgrade to POFQ with this pin code and the free dining. I definitely think it had a lot to do with what CM you got today.
