I got the following offer. It only includes QS dining at a Value and Full dining at Moderate.

Enjoy FREE Dining!
Get a FREE dining plan when you purchase one of the following 4-Night/4-Day vacation packages that include accommodations
and Theme Park tickets:

FREE Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan
$ 472 *
per adult, based on adult double occupancy in a standard room at a select Disney Value Resort. For stays most nights 10/2/09–11/24/09.
That’s a savings of $119!

FREE Disney Dining Plan
$ 617 *
per adult, based on adult double occupancy in a standard room at a select Disney Moderate Resort. For stays most nights 10/2/09–11/24/09.
That’s a savings of $159!

I got the same thing. Can't figure out if it is a good deal or not. We are booked (rooms only) for Thanksgiving week through AAA.

Does anyone know if the discount for rooms using AAA is better than taking this? I think I can only do one or the other.

This is really confusing!

I just posted this on another thread , but I see that it fits here, too.

It's 4-night/4-day package...including accomodations, Theme Park tickets and a Disney Dining Plan. $471 Select Value Resorts $624 Select Mod. Resorts Most nights 10/2-11/24 *(fine print says to ask for other great rates 11/28-12/17)

I asked if this could be applied to our existing ressie at AKL for the dates 12/3-12/7 and they said "yes". Here's the breakdown as I figured it:

Our current Room Only cost is $854.45 for 4-nights Pool View at AKL
I figure 4-days Park Hopper for 3 adults as $824.85 (Undercover Tourist)

Total $ 1,679.30 If we added a meal plan, it would be $2,195.30

The C.M. broke the " Big kids offer" down the best she could and it came to:
Total $1,985.52...but I factored needing to upgrade to a Park Hopper and it was $2,135.52

So, as I figure the bottom line savings as being $59.78 and we would then be tied down with the stricter cancellation policies of a package and the loss of meal flexibility with the Dining Plan. :headache:

It was exhausting doing the math, but in our case (if I did it correctly) it pays for us to skip the "deal". I'm only breaking this down because I know a lot of you are bummed for not getting this recent Pin Code. But look at the bright side, sometimes deals aren't as great as they may seem! :eek:

I just re-read my post, and I want to make it clear that I'm not knocking the "offer" itself. I was simply pointing out that these deals aren't necessarily good deals for everyone. You really need to analyze them based on your resort, ticket types, etc... I was feeling so left out when it seemed as if everyone was getting these Pin Codes but me, but now I realize that they aren't always the best way to go. Bottom line...do the math before booking and don't cry if you don't get one. ;)

I received this email and just changed my ressie over to it. It didn't save us much (only $30), but we are getting exactly what we had booked before so for us it works. We had a 7 night package booked with 7 day park hoppers and the dining plan. I had gotten a 40% off code for the room. So I used the pin and upgraded the quick service dining plan to the regular dining plan. $30 isn't much, but it's better than nothing. If you are getting the dining plan anyway - it's a decent deal. If you aren't and eat mostly counter service or off site - than not so much.

We didn't get the free dining, but we did get the "big kids, little kids" pin. This one looks like you pay the price of kids tickets and kids DDP (your choice of plan). So not free, just a lower price. We are passing.

I finally got a pin!!! And it was the free dining one!!!! We are so excited!! We now have POR for 9 nights in November with 10 day MYW tickets and free regular dining!!!:cool1::cool1:

We are going to be squished, but we've done it before and it was fine. And we absolutely love the dining plan, so we are super excited!!
