Free dining or wait until 10/13???

I was wondering if anyone could offer me advice on when to go. I was originally going to go 10/13-10/20 thinking the crowds will be light. But now with the free dining I changed my reservations to 9/22-9/29. I'm scared about how crowed it will be during free dining. Is it insane during free dining? I have 2 boys...6 & 2 and I just want them to have a wonderful time and to avoid as few of crowds as possible. Any advice?? Thanks!!!

We had the free dining the last two years it was offered, we noticed a BIG difference in the crowds. VERY crowded last year, so much so that we are considering the 2nd week of October this year. We have gone the last 9 years the last week of September and the past two years were much more crowded than ever before. I guess if you're used to the summer crowds, it's not too bad. If you were used to the way it was, it is much more crowded. I called today for ADRs and actually were only able to book half at the time I wanted. I have never had that happen before. Also could not get POP or ASMo or CSR. We are now trying to decide if we should wait.
