Free Dining Offer on the website now

Disney has the free dining for the general public on their website now. Pop Century , All Star Movies and Port Orleans french quarter were not opitions.
We really wanted the Pop Century but had to settle for All Star Music.

Now I need to go cancel our bounce back for the same time period (Sept 26 -Oct 3) at Port Orleans Riverside.
My daughter was accepted into the Disney college program this fall , so she will not be with us, so we have decided to do two cheaper value resort trips instead of one moderate. Hopefully the second trip will be in December as my daughter will be working at Disney World during Christmas .

I already have FD booked at CBR. But I did check my dates for the values. The only thing that came up was Music and sports. I was able to get ASMO to come up in a preferred room but no pop. This was for the dates of 8/25 to 9/3.

I was hoping to rebook with the public offer and get a standard room at POFQ. I guess I should be happy with my garden view!

Make sure your on the U.S. site. It's not offered on the Canadian one for smoe reason

Apparently it isn't open to Canadian residents this time. Those who are getting it added to reservations or making new reservations are getting it by fluke. This is the first time it hasn't been open to Canadians as well. However we've had ample times to book FD before the US.

I believe that Canada was able to Book FD for August 19-September 29 2012 back in August of 2011

Exactly what I was saying, we've had ample time to book it already. Of course it still hurts those who didn't get on board earlier. I'm DVC so I don't take advantage of these promos anyways.

Well, I wasn't ready to book in August 2011 for Sept/Oct 2012 but I am hopeful to still get the FD deal for this year

BTW....My FD for spring at Pop starts in 2 days

The free dining promo is for the general public and Canadians are included. I am Canadain and booked FD on Monday.

I had no problems booking Pop for my kids from Aug 25th- Sept 8th- upgraded to deluxe dining and upgraded tix to hoppers. You do have to select this resort from the edit button as when originally searching I saw only ASMu and ASSports.
