Free Dining offer changed midstream...?

While planning our December trip, DW checked Disney's website, and the free dining link has some apparent changes to it:

Get a taste of real vacation value with a package that rolls a Disney Resort hotel room, theme park tickets and a FREE dining plan into one wonderful package for stays most nights 10/2-11/24/2009, 11/29-11/30/2009 and 12/7-12/17/2009.

and

You receive the Disney Dining Plan FREE when you purchase one of these 5-night/5-day Magic Your Way...

This appears to be a recent change from the previous minimum 3 day stay requirement.

Also, they blacked out the first week of December. Must be Pop Warner?

Did anyone notice when this changed? Or, am I nuts and it's been like this from the beginning? Even WDWInfo's free dining page shows the 3 day minimum.

That's a poorly worded promo. NO changes in days required. The only real change was qsdp for those in value resorts, upgradable for $10 a night per person.

Yeah, we were planning Dec 2-6, but hadn't booked yet.

Hmmm, I wonder why?

I am going with FD that week got a pin code so I am not worried and Pop warner is the following week.......geez could they all be booked?

5 nights is generally the example stay that Disney uses in its promotional literature and advertising. It is not a minimum stay for the free dining promotion. That continues to be three nights.

Just looked at the site as well and it does black ou the 1st week in Dec; however, when I plugged the dates in (12/1 - 12/6), it seemed to take the offer.

There weren't many resort choices with it though - so if you are stalling you may want to go ahead and book - oh and I put in my party size - family of 5

DW did this last night, and the dates were blacked out. We repeated today, just as you did, and they were back.

I dunno.
