Good Morning and Congratulations to all of you who were able to get FD already!!!

I already have a reservation at POR for October so I have to wait to call at 7am to find out if I can have the FD added to my package (we have already paid for the DDP so we'd get a credit, if we are lucky). If there aren't any more available in the room category we have then we are just going to forget about it. The $700 credit would be nice but DH and I decided that we aren't moving resorts and we aren't giving up a RGR.

Did I read somewhere that there aren't any room discounts for the POR? That would have been our back up plan.

Looks like we may not get any discount but that is okay. We've paid already and we are going to Disney!!!

You don't want to just book a new ressie and then have them reimburse you out of the old one to make sure you get it?

I'm so excited for everyone who are getting their FD and room discounts!!!

Now I just have to wait until 6 to see if I can get my room discount on AOA. It is still available online but since I already have an existing reservation I have to wait. This is going to be one very long hour.

Im just got up to get ready to cal, and theres no availiablity at POR. I might cry.

Availability is very tight right now. Hopping they plan to open more rooms when the phone lines open up.

Can't believe I went to bed 3 minutes before the website refreshed. My husband is catching a flight on the east coast this morning so he just called and told me it was up (4:30 my time). No POR for my dates. My DD so wanted a royal room. She is going to be very disappointed. Booked preferred at CBR. Hope we will like it. Trying to decide if the preferred is worth it. We've never stayed moderate. Will keep checking POR RR availability but wish I hadn't gone to bed so I could have at least checked. Literally missed it by 3 minutes.

You don't want to just book a new ressie and then have them reimburse you out of the old one to make sure you get it?

We have ADRs attached to our current reservation so that isn't an option. This is our first time going to WDW and we really want the RGR for our DDs. We discussed it last night and decided that we will be okay if we don't get the credit of $700. It sure would be nice to have but it since it is already paid for, we will be okay. We are going to WDW regardless and we are super excited!!!

Soo I'm already booked at Pop from months ago, but seeing as things are going quick, is there any reason NOT to make a second reservation right now with the FD then just call to cancel my old reservation? Worst case, I have to pay the increased ticket prices, but from watching this forum it sounds like I'll have to do that when I add FD anyway? Trip is well outside any cancellation penalty time frame.

Yes, but I'd probably wait to call unless you are going to run in to problems at the bank. The phone lines will be cray-cray this morning.

I was worried about this too. Had to move my trip forward one day and change only one ressie thankfully. No problems.

Yay!! I just got my dates....October 23-27 at my Plan A. We are at POP!!

Well, we were already booked at POR in a Royal Room mostly for my DD (booked way back prior to ticket price increase just in case there were no FD offers!), since we stayed at CBR in a Pirate Room last time for my DS. But, alas - no FD availability for 10/19-10/27 in ANY POR room (Plans A & B). So, we switched to CBR (Plan C!) and I'll call (much) late today to cancel my original ressie.

So, I saved about $1200, and really - we're going to be spending all of our time in a park or at the pool, so I figure it's OK.

THANK YOU to everyone who posted the heads-up, so glad I checked this site before getting in the car to go to work!

You can still ask if you could add FD to the original. It's worth a shot!

Did the FQ crowd all move over to POR? Looks like it. I've seen a few who were able to book it, but it looks like its filled up fast.
