Free Dining.. Is so when?

Just wondering if anyone would know when they will announce there free dining.. if there having it again this year? or a summer special?.. would like to surprize the kids with a trip.. Thanks Sarah

There have been musings about the possibility of no free dining this year

When we were at Pop Century at Christmas, we got a phone call from our very "own" disney Vacation Planner - offering us a "Bounce Back" Special..

For making a reservation then, for August 2008, we would be booked for our stay at Pop, with dining..

But we had to book it then, while onsite...

I guess if I were WDW, and this Bounce Back promo (there's a UK one too, I think) was filling resorts up nicely, would I offer open to the public FD ??

They offered free dining for the last 2 years so it sounds like there will be a different promo this year. I read in another thread that someone kept track of the promos and WDW has never offered the same thing for more than 2 years in a row.

Let's all cross our fingers that they do offer it to us again--- I want to go back!!!!

When I made my ADRs last week, the customer service rep told me there WOULD NOT be free dining. Now of course things can change. But it sounds like they are offering it in limited ways, eg UK, bounce back etc. not for everyone.

With the thought of No free dining DH and I decide to take the four day Disney Cruise instead. Buy the time you book room, tickets, and food comes out to about the same price.

Now if they had free dining that would be a different case. My husband likes the cruise better. Spend less on Disney Merchandise LOL

well I don't think the 2 years in a row works... they offered it in 2005, 2006, 2007 (2 times UK and disneysers on-site). Let's hope they will for general public. Maybe by the end of the year they will do something similar to the UK but for canadians
