Free dining for DVC

HI, does anyone know if you can get the free dining by using points to stay at SSR.

To date, the free dining offers have only been for those purchasing a package thru CRO - which would include paying full rack rate for the room and also buying admission passes.

DVC members CAN get the free dining if we purchase the CRO package, but it is not available for stays using points.

CRO means (Central Reservations Office) Meaning, that you must book a package directly with Disney (Hotel and park tickets) at regular pricing to receive the free dining promotion.

"FREE" is in the interpretation. If you are willing to pay rack rate for an SSR room, then yes, you can get "free" dining, but is it really?

have they even announced whether they'll have a general free dining promo this Sept? Know they did offer bounceback

it has been reported here that members will book a stay @ the Values (including a 1 night MYW base tix(s) - to obtain the free dining; never setting foot in the room - just check in for the resort cards

personally, i was thrilled when they decided to offer it to DVC members staying on points; not too sure now that they've tweaked the plan though

I heard that if you rent points from DVC owners they are paying for the dining plan so they won't lose any more customers to CRO !

Yeah, $10 a point that includes the dining plan for everyone in the party. If you pay $11 a point, you get deluxe dining.
