Free Dining for DVC Members?

Now that free dining is up for Aug 16-Oct, would it also apply for DVC members, or is it only when a package is purchased?

"Free dining" applies only to full price room/tickets package reservations. DVC members staying on points are not eligible.

The free dining offer for August 16 - October 1 is a targeted PIN offer and is not available to the general public. If the general public gets an offer, it may or may not be for the same dates.

You are right.

I was able to get the free dining bounce back when I was there last Sept for this Sept. I just called today to see if I could change my dates. I asked what was the latest I could check in and out and still keep my bounce back free dining offer. The CM left me on hold while he checked and came back to tell me that as long as I was checked out no later than Oct 8th, that I could keep my free dining. I changed my reservation to Sept 26th-Oct 4th.

My point is, that apparently the dates offered for the bounce back free dining last Sept for this Sept are different by a few days from what is currently being offered with the PIN offers. Who knows what is going to be offered to the general public.

I have a reservation that i made a few months back and i called disney today and I still dont have any discounts to my reservation. I check my email and regular mail all the time . i dont know when they will announce it to the general public or if they even will

The bounceback offer for 2009 free dining ended October 24. You would have had to be staying at WDW between August 24 and October 24 to book it - and you had to book it while you were still at WDW via a special booking number.

The current offer is received through targeted e-mails and is only accessible through non-transferable PIN numbers. You can't book it unless Disney sends you one or they've registered one under your name. (They have never sent me any of the recent e-mail PIN offers - actually I don't want them, but I have still never received one.)

In the past, the general public offers have been announced in March for booking starting the first week or so of April. Disney Visa Card holders get to book a few days earlier than everyone else.

Aubiree is pointing out that the bounceback booking dates for free dining in 2009 are slightly different from the dates offered in the current e-mail PIN promotion.
