Free Dining Fall 2015? (and a whole lot more)

I
I was finding most resorts had no standard left for my dates.
I talked to DH and he agreed that if we can get POR we will take whatever level they have open.
I'm still not 100% sold that I want to try a new resort like CBR over taking RO but reading all the positives about it here makes me want to give it a shot. We did CSR for FD in 2013 and we didn't spend a lot of time at the resort other than at night and then I made the mistake of walking near the main building and felt the Business conference people took away from my vacation feel. But that's just me, others were ok with it and love that resort and the Business/club level stuff.

I even looked at deluxe and again the standard options were gone for Boardwalk/Beach club area.

Honestly I just can't wait to be booked so I can stop obsessing about when and where I'm going. The crowd levels the week I want is good but the weekends are busy, but mostly at Epcot because of food and wine.
With no kids we can be flexible so that's a good thing. I'm sure no matter where we go I'll be happy to just be away from home here and be home there.

I went ahead and booked with a travel agent, just so I wouldn't have to obsess about the dates anymore. That being said....the room discount is worth more to me than the free dining. But....I'm eagerly waiting with the rest of you because FD will mean my daughter and her family can come with us! It will be the first time we take a trip together! So....I'm still obsessing! LOL

I am wondering if my husband will be able to call Disney if & when FD becomes available. My name is the primary name on the reservation, but his name is listed as a guest. I have to work & worry that I will not have time to call. Mine is the name on the Disney Visa card. TIA.
Yeah, my daughter, who goes every year....has to work Monday. She told me she has to wait to call....and....she wasn't even anxious at all. I guess when you go every year you adjust to the tension. She has always gotten free dining and has been able to stay at her resort of choice. She amazes me! Calm, cool but still excited to be able to go!

Disney blocks rooms for conventions, but they absolutely would not block them for upcoming discounts. They want your money. They are not going to hold back rooms that people willingly pay full price for. Lol
Just a side note on convention rooms....that's what I received booking through an agency....a convention rate. It is right on my tickets. I did get a very good deal, better than free dining...but we are only two people so that's why it is a better deal for us. But....I'm cheering with your guys! I love the excitement in here! Boo-yah!

I'm feeling lucky for free dining! My mom just got a clean bill of health from her heart doctor who said that her heart is looking better than ever (such a relief!) AND I just passed an important evaluation at work with commendations! Don't they say that these kinds of things come in three's? Free dining would be the cherry on top of it all! :woohoo:
I am so happy for you and your family! I'll go along with the three thing!

As a scout myself in the past, I would say right away, "Has there been a free dining promotion for Disney visa released this morning?" I would then post right away to this site. Usually, by 7:03, or 7:04 the site would be updated with the news.
You are alright with me! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I think folks often take the the placards out of the rooms. The number to call from your room is something like #8844 for the BB. Someone correct me.
So...you have to call a special number for the bounce back? And....if you don't see a placard, you should just call this number to check dates, resorts etc. for the BB?

Ok, there are 15 new pages since I logged in last. From what I gathered the rumor is Monday for visa members and Thursday? Can someone tell me if this is for September FD or all of fall like last year?

No FD dates have been confirmed.

So nobody knows the dates, just that something is coming? Oh I don't know if I am glad I saw this or not, this will be the longest 4 days ever.

Actually, that something is coming at all is just a rumor for now as well. :) Have a good weekend!

Great! You were really lucky then. I guess it depends on how flexible and by what authority the CM is willing/can do. It was Disney Magic working for you!

We are going no matter what and I know it is unlikely but I am really hoping that FD starts on 8/23 even thought it will overlap the current summer offer. I have noticed sites stating lower bookings and even a lot of the crowd calendars for that week have chopped the expected levels in half from when I first booked.

Fingers crossed

BB?: My in-laws are going to DW with another couple this fall. The couple they are staying with are using their DVC (Vacation club, not visa). Can my in-laws book a BB? We are planning another trip with them in the next year and it would be great if they could book a BB for two rooms (one under MIL and one under FIL) before they check-out. Of course, that is all I will let them do as I will then need to plan the rest of the trip. TIA!

It wouldn't be too hard to know dates a year in advance as we do have calendars, unlike when I was young.
How long do you think it would take before we'd get tired of going every year?

That is a serious question, really.
My daughter and her family have gone almost every year for about 15 years. They have broken it up twice and have visited DL. They are all still excited to go every year! I've been a couple of times, this will be my third. I'm retired. I'm thinking of going every year now... till death or dismemberment!

I am a Disney TA. Typically our site/system adds new deals after 10:00am. Although I have no more info than what you have regarding promo release dates, I can get a little heads up when my site goes down for a few minutes! Rather than calling Disney, just keep checking their website under special offers. You will see it there within minutes of a CM being able to book it.
Thank you so much! This is helpful! I'll be checking away!

:thanks: Thank you to everyone who called.....the wait continues! :surfweb:

I was able to make our adrs this morning and got all the ressies we wanted so that's awesome! Now for FD to add icing to our cake :cake:
Whop pee doo! The excitement just never ends! I have to wait till May 20th....but have my calendar alert set!
