So I asked and now can't find if anyone answered......does anyone know when the offer will show up available to book online if it goes straight to GP? Is it tight at 6 or 7 am, or later on in the day?
It is earlier than when the phone lines open, some have said 6am.

I think it could Be released anytime!
I remember in 2013 when the late fall dates were finally released ( it was like August 1) I was up with my little one ( 5 weeks old) and we were planning a trip for that October.... It came live at 3am... I only remember that because I was up feeding and just happened to get on Disney and there it was!
So I don't think there is a time for a online promotion to come available...
That 6am online thing is just for making dining reservations and 7sm is the time the phones open.

It actually opened at Midnight EST, see page 51 on the following thread. I also remember because I was so ticked off when I got up that morning and found folks had been booking for hours, lol :)

Ive never added FD online. If you choose to change it via online, from what I have read and heard, you have to cancel ur current Res and make a new one to do it online (I believe, someone correct me if im wrong).

Just spoke to Disney Chat agents: If you're not a VC holder then you can change it online without having to cancel. If you are a VC holder, you'll have to call the reservation line to modify but still won't have to cancel your current reservation.

So if PHs DO end up being required and it ends up making more sense just to book a regular package with no free dining plan, do they also release other fall discounts when they release free dining too-like 30% off deluxes, 15% off values etc?

Just trying to see if THAT would make more sense if they do require PHs. We were really hoping to be able to stay at a mod for the first time this trip with free dining but if they require PHs I'm wondering if it would make more sense to stay at Pop and save that money we would've paid to upgrade to a mod, not do free dining and take the room discount.
Will they release ALL fall discounts when/if free dining is released?

Glad I ran the numbers for FD for our family of 5. We presently have the Beach Club for 8 nights from 8/27 thru 9/4, with 8 day plus 1 water park tickets. I just checked home much CBR would be for the same time from. It was $3791 for standard, $4050 for waterview and $4342 for preferred (this is with park hoppers). If I take the middle of the road resort type, it's costing around $100 more a day for FD. Now our family would probably eat more then $100 day if we did the TS, CS and 1 snack but we do not need that much food and we can easily do a TS meal for under $100. The only thing I will miss is Garden Grill and Ohana as I won't eat there because it would cost around $250 OOP for dinner there. I think I will stick will my original plan and go to the BC. Any thoughts?

If the DV and GP offer both come out tomorrow, why would the DV customer have to call in. Why wouldn't they be able to do online like everyone else since they are getting no advantage and Disney has no need to check if they are using a DV?

If it came out GP you would be able to, if it's just released to DV you would have to call.

I've only had the dining plan once, and it was free (with a room discount at the BWI). We liked that it was "free", and did end up leaving behind a counter service credit or two. It was, to me, too much food! I'm planning on the last week of August, probably staying at Pop just me and DD. She wants to stay there, go figure! It does look super cute, and would be fine for the 2 of us. We can book (again) through Orbitz with their extra 15% off, and using my $75 credit I got with them for booking spring break this year. We mostly only do counter service, so the QS plan would be nice (but only if it was "free" as I'd just pay OOP otherwise - I never order dessert!).

Question number one: if they offer free dining, can this be booked with Orbitz? I'd love to use up my credit with them.

Question number two: this past spring break, DS decided last minute not to join us. I had already bought his 8 day park hopper from Disney, so still have it unused. I was going to use it next trip (and upgrade to AP and buy AP for DD since we'll go again next spring). With free dining, I'd need to buy tickets for us. Would I need to just hold onto one unused ticket, or can I use a ticket as a "credit" to upgrade to an AP? I didn't know if you can do that, like combine tickets, but had heard some hold onto tickets and use them to renew AP's.

Also, does anyone know if the last week of August is included ever in "free dining"? I'm sure we'd pay more for our room, but with the dining plan it MAY be worth it (QS).

The only thing I know for sure, is you cannot book free dining through orbitz.

I only booked ahead because my 180 reservation mark was in March, before this promo. Without the reservation, I would have had to pay upfront for several of the character meals/dinner shows. With the reservation, it showed I was using a dining plan. I know from experience, this does not get me an advantage for the free dining promo. In the past, with a reservation at the Contemporary, I had to switch to the Polynesian as I called too late and there was no more availability for the promo at the Contemporary. Im sure all of us will have good luck as we are all planning ahead and will be among the first calling / booking! Good Luck everyone :)

can we share plate at cinderella royal table.. and use 2 credits instead of 4? there always too much food for us and It frustrated to loose 2 ts if sharing plate it's enough for us

Long time lurker, first time posting in this thread...and sorry to be the bearer of possible bad news. :worried: I've been waiting to see if someone else would post this.

I follow Tom Bricker's blog on my facebook and his version of the free dining dates was posted last night. He has no December dates and he has POR excluded for the whole offer, which is bad news for my family of 5 because that was our #1 choice.

http://www.disneytouristblog.com/disney-world-free-dining-dates/

i see the date on the blog is April 13 so I am hoping this is "old news" but he posted this on facebook last night and was commenting on it. I'm hoping I attached the screenshot correctly.

Sorry if this info is not helpful, I was curious to know what others thought. Thanks!!

I read most of the blog post and it seems to me the part where he listed the resort exclusions was the historical 2014 details. Or maybe that's just me hoping because we will only go if we can do POR! ;)

While on the topic of CRT, can you book it without prepaying if you already have the dining plan? Or is a prepay required either way?
