How did you get to combine pins? I thought you could only use 1 pin per reservation?

They didn't combine discounts. The FD discount total was just that much less than their first one WOULD have been.

Been checking for updates every day, almost didn't check today thinking they wouldn't offer it right after the holiday, but of course they did Booked November 28th - December 6th @ Pop Century with free QSDP!!!

Just called:
We check in on October 7th - October 16 - - blackouts begin on the 8th. CM would not give us free dining due to the blackout dates. What to do??? Got excited for nothing.

Call and talk to another CM. And try it online. You shoudl be fine if your checkin date is covered in the eligible dates.

Call back...ask for a supervisor if necessary. If you check in on 10/7 you should get it.

•Travel Window: Valid for stays most nights Aug. 15 – Oct. 7, 2010, Oct. 22 – Oct. 28, 2010, Nov. 12 - Nov. 18, 2010, Nov. 27 – Dec. 2, 2010 and Dec. 10 – Dec. 21, 2010

As long as the hotel you are going to still has promotion availability, then they should give it to you for the entire trip.

That is the key, as we got a pin a while back and found out all the rooms allotted for the hotel we were at under the promotion, PQFQ, were sold out. So we upgraded to WL and saved even more money

So excited my TA just emailed me that this opened and we are upgraded to free dining!

We were able to stay at ASMu and just pay the upgrade difference. We had the 35% off the rooms but the free dining is saving me almost $150 and my cousin almost $500 by switching codes!

Has anyone found out why most of October is in fact blacked out

My guess and thats all it is, is that this during the Food and Wine Festival and they have no reason to entice people in during that time period.

Just taled to my TA and it works for the our full stay!!! Since we are checking in on a non blackout day!!!!! 11/30/2010 - 12/11/2010 FD covered for the full stay!!!! Much bigger savings than the 30% off the room rate!!!! So pumped that happedned today!!!! The only bummer was we had to change resorts, but it is worth it to us. We were at POFQ and now are back a CBR. Stayed at CBR befre and love it POFQ was going to be new to us so were were excited about trying somthing new! But like I said can't complain we wanted FD and got it so we are also happy to move back to CBR!!!! Hope everone can make this work for them!!!!

Count me in on having a trip planned (10/13-10/19) during blackout dates. That's kind of ok, because I already have our tickets, and adding free dining would actually cost me more money. I'd have to buy two day tickets for us and upgrade from quick service to table service since we're staying at POP.

ETA - Congrats to all those that are able to use Free Dining!

Yay! The 2010 Free Dining promotion has again been extended into December.

Specs

■You must book a full-price WDW vacation package, checking in *most nights* on these dates: August 15 – October 7, 2010, October 22-October 28, 2010, November 12-18, 2010, November 27 – December 2, 2010 and December 10-21, 2010.
■You must stay at least three consecutive nights at an official Walt Disney World hotel (i.e., a hotel that is owned and operated by Walt Disney World) and at least a 2-day theme park ticket.
■If you stay in a Value Resort: You’ll receive the Magic Your way Plus Quick Service Dining package for the price of a standard Magic Your Way package. You can upgrade to the regular Dining Plan for $10 per adult per night and $2 per child (age 3-9) per night, or you can upgrade to the Deluxe Dining Plan for $40 per adult per night and $12 per child per night.
■If you stay in a Moderate, Deluxe, or Villas Resort: You’ll receive the Magic Your Way Plus Dining package for the price of a standard Magic Your Way package. You can upgrade to the Deluxe Dining Plan for $30 per adult per night and $10 per child per night most nights. Upgrade cost if you’re staying between December 17-21 is $25 per adult per night and $9 per child per night.

Just changed my Poly ressie from 11/29-12/6 to FD at POR. I know I would've loved to have tried somewhere new, but it will save me a TON of money!! I don't care where I stay as long as I'm at Disney!!

I emailed my TA as soon as I saw this thread posted (about 11:30) she was on hold with Disney for over 20 minutes and had to end the call because she had a meeting. She says she will try again this afternoon. How frustrating!!!

We are booked 11/28 to 12/4 with a 30% discount pin which saved us 363.00. FD will save us more but I am not willing to change resorts to get the FD pin, so I am going to keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best.

Quick question:

We already had a package booked through our TA at AAA. I have a pin code attached to my name for free dining for our stay in mid october (currently blackout dates...but this pin which activates on 7/13 includes blacked out dates).

Can I get my TA at AAA to get my upgrade to free dining using my pin? To be safe, I already booked ANOTHER pkg through Disney and can call to upgrade to FD on 7/13 (or cancel it if AAA can do it for me).

Why do I need AAA? The parking pass they give with their bookings is worth it! Park right up front next to the HC parking and no fight to get out at the end of each day!

I had 2 reservations originally made. One for the free dining offer that came out this spring... 9/26-10/2 and then I also made one for the dates that i really wanted for late october 10/24-10/30- HOPING they would extend free dining. And they just did!!!

But now what....?? Which one do I keep!!? Not wanting to thread-jack, but what is the temps like in Florida in late sept compared to late oct??
