Since we're staying at a Mod, we qualify for the Disney Dining Plan. It may work better for our family to do a Quick Service Plan. Does anyone know if we can do that instead?

Yeah it's pretty weird but yeah, you can't downgrade unless you decided to upgrade the first time around THEN decide to downgrade (for example, if you opted for the DDxP instead of the default regular plan).

And may I remind you that it's FREE? :rotfl: If you're worried about not being able to use a TS credit for a QS, most of the time CMs don't have a problem with that. Just make sure you tell them about what you're trying to do. :thumbsup2

We've never done any dining plan, so I'm trying to crunch numbers and see what's best. Right now we are booked under a 40% pin, so I've got to decide which offer is better. DD and are doing a table service without DS and DH, and DH and I are doing a table service without the kids, no I'm not sure if it will all even out. I've got a lot of planning to do! I don't want the kids or adults to be stuck with an unven number of table services, plus sometimes with kids counter service is better. But then again the character dining may work itself out... hmmm,.....:confused3

You can move to a value resort and get the QSDP for free and use some of the money you save to book a few TS meals.

Usually if you book a value or mod, you save more money doing the free dining plan. A deluxe, you are better off getting the 40% room discount. That's how it came up with me, though I wanted the DDxP so your results may vary. And if you are ever stuck with an excess of QS/TS credits, you can transfer them to snack credits right before you leave. There's lot of candies and nonperishable foods that you can take home as gifts! :wizard:
