Free dining crowds vs Jersey Week

Last year we went to WDW in November, because I thought it was a lighter crowd time of year to go. However, about a week before our trip I found out it was also Jersey Week. It was SOOOO crowded!

Anyway, how does Jersey week compare to the crowds in Sept. when the free dining is offered? I want the free dining, but would prefer to go when it's less crowded. Anyone advice?

I would love to be surrounded by a bunch of Joisey folks! :cheer2:

Some of my best friends are Jersey Gals.:)

One thing for sure they would make standing in those lines go a whole lot quicker. :thumbsup2

Slightly Goofy

The Jersey people were all very nice, I just don't ever want to go when it's that crowded. The restaurants all took 2-2 1/2 hrs. to complete a meal, the wait for busses back to our resort were insane, and did I mention lines for rides? Yikes!

The very last day we were there, all the Jersey folks must have left because it was totally dead. Too bad our whole trip wasn't like that. We would have been able to see and do a whole lot more.

Being a Jersey girl and going both during Jersey week and during September, if given the choice, I'd pick September again in a heartbeat.

Our school had late return this year (9/20) so we went down from 9/9-9/16. It was probably the best vacation we have ever taken. Parks were empty, lines virtually non existent, walk on and off just about everything. We were also on free dining and while the restaurants were crowded, we certainly didn't have too much trouble. I make my dinner ressies for around 6 PM most nights (have 2 younger boys). We were also down again for Jersey week this year (11/4-11/11) and found it much more crowded than September. That's not to say it was really busy...we've been during Easter as well, but much more so than our recent September trip.

So if you can go in September, I would say do it. Once kids start into school, it's almost impossible to take advantage of that time of year. Many of our local people were down in September and we even considered petitioning the school board to start school later so that we could do this every year.

Good luck with your decision.
