Free dining black out dates pls help

:( That is a total bummer! Did you check your name and DH's?

I'm still perplexed as to why early Nov is blacked out... all the park crowd estimators show pretty low estimates for that time frame, so I don't really get it. Even if crowds are "high", I'm doubting it will be as bad as our trip last August (and the weather is bound to be better!)

For anyone who is interested.

I booked 14 nites, from November 28th thru December 12th this morning and got the code for the entire time, including blackout dates and Free Dining for all nites. I even got my favorite resort, Sports. :cheer2:

I am pleasantly surprised as I had the 40% code and when I called, some time ago, was told that that they would not extend the special pricing past the dates listed. I had read on here where some folks were getting it and figured it was worth a call.:goodvibes

Thank you all

My guess is nothing else will be coming for those dates, short of a PIN code. But, WDW plays with their discounts a lot, so there is always a chance. My analysis of the black out dates are:

Oct 8-21- Columbus day, many schools out for Fall Break
Oct 29-Nov 11- Not really sure here, Halloween through Veteran's Day- maybe more Fall Breaks but everyone I know has it in Oct.
Nov 19-26- Thanksgiving
Dec 3-9- Pop Warner

So, they all make sense to me except that early November one.

What sort of "fall break" is typical? We only have Columbus Day off here in Massachusetts, but we're taking the kids down that week anyway. Do grade schools sometimes have that week off, or are you referring to colleges, by any chance? Just wondering. Thanks!

PS - we received the "White Rabbit" pin back in May, and we were able to book the Contemporary for the week after Columbus Day at 40% off. I was pretty excited, and grateful too, because the newer pins don't seem to cover those dates! They must be pretty booked up (although I asked and they wouldn't/couldn't say)

Thanks so much for the response. I am so bummed!! We are going anyway but a discount would have been nice!! ;) Does Pop Warner mean the parks will be very crowded? We arrive on the 7th and leave on the 14th?

We were there this past year during the same week as PoP Warner. We stayed at POP (no Pop Warners stayed there). We did not notice any difference in the crowd levels. We only saw a few groups a couple of nights and they were very fun. No problems at all! :)

Most AZ K-12 schools have the whole week off but the majority of Disney vacationers will go to Disneyland (5-6 hour drive). I don't think that AZ Fall Breaks will impact WDW all that much. But, I have heard rumblings of other states turning to similar calendars where they start in early-mid August (we start the 9th) and then get a week off after 1st quarter- which usually coincides with the week which starts with Columbus Day.

We went this week last year (I am a teacher) and it was not close to as busy as when I have been during Spring Break, but not 5-10 minute waits by any means. I would say it is one of the busiest weeks of the Fall season- but still not *that* busy- if that makes sense! Last year was really really hot though- record temps all week, which may have made it seem busier to us!
