Just read an article on the chip and co .com/ site (won't let me type the website) that Free Dining is now being offered at Art of Animation. Can anyone confirm? :confused3

I did a dummy booking thru the websire with the offer and it let me.. so i'd say yes..confirmed for some dates!

I, too, did a possible reservation through the website. Interesting. It would cost my family of four $400 more to stay at AoA with QSDP than it would to stay at CSR with DDP. So which would you choose?

Yes, several posters on the Resorts board have posted that they have booked the current free dining offer at Art of Animation. AOA apparently allows you to book certain themed sections if you wish, and some appear to be currently excluded (they could get free dining booking Lion King but not Cars) and the Little Mermaid buildings (the only section that has regular rooms rather than family suites) do not open for occupancy until September 15.

For a family of four who doesn't really need a family suite I'd go with CSR and the regular dining, unless you really want either the suite or the new resort.

Worked for me but it;s too much $$$ for us...way too much than we can afford :(

I was stoked to book a Little Mermaid standard room with free dining this morning for the dates of Sept 15 (opening day) through the 22. It seems to be the only (and longest) time span you can book. I really wanted through Sunday, Sept 23 but no go...only Lion King suites available at that time. Thats ok, it covers both mine and my DS's bdays! Woot!!

I called yesterday to inquire about booking a trip for a friend. AoA was added yesterday to the list of FD hotels. However the standard rooms are NOT included yet. She didn't know if they would be. So we will keep our ressie at Pop. If they open up the standard rooms at AoA with FD I would love to switch over. So for now only the AoA suites are included in the FD.

The LM rooms are included but it appears to currently be for only the 9/15-22 time period. Several people have reported that they have booked them.:thumbsup2

Why would it apply to just that one week? Do you mean there aren't any rooms available for 9/22-9/29?

We were already booked in a cars suite (8/25-9/1) and I was able to have te free dining applied to our existing res yesterday.

I think it was some kind of error. Ether it wasn't supposed to be in there at all or other dates were supposed to appear and just aren't right now. I'm sure they're working on it. I was one of the lucky ones who was booked at POP the 15th-22nd so I moved us over to AoA. I think I was one of if not the first to book it and I posted on here right away letting people know but not realizing that that was the only dates that LM was good for. Got extra lucky I guess. :cool1:
