Free Dining Anonymous (and a whole lot more)

Hi! I was originally booked in August 2014, but due to issues, I had to move the trip to October 31-November 9. The CM stated that I was eligible for 25% off of the room. However, I haven't seen any mention of this promotion anywhere. Yet my balance reflect the discount. Has anyone seen this???

Perhaps you had a PIN code attached to your name?

Maybe we did. The CM didn't say anything to indicate that, but when the price was 500.00 less than I anticipated, I asked if there was a promotion, and she said yes, 25% off. :goodvibes Now all I can hope for is FD to be released in July/August, and I'll be one happy Disney addict!

Just like PINS or Unique Offer's CM's often will have a screen pop up offering special rates for certain people:thumbsup2 I have also heard of people getting such quotes and then calling back to book only to find the offer can not longer be found. This would lend to the offer was only available during the call.

:banana: Congrats on offer and congrats getting some resort :wizard:

Did anyone notice the Free dining for 2015 for the UK that just came out... The moderates are offered a quick service plan, the deluxe are offered the standard plan and the values are offered a breakfast.

Anyone think this is an indication of changes we will see in the U.S. offer? I know there was word this time last year that values would get no FD and the mods would get the QS and the deluxe would get the Standard Plan but it never happened when the "late summer" release came out it ended up being the same as previous years, values got the QS, mods got the Standard, etc etc.... Maybe this year we may see the change? Idk I'm curious to see how this goes... And then have another whole year to see how it goes again before my trip lol... here's to wishing!! :)

In the past the UK version and US version have nothing to do with each other and in no way indicate what will be offered in the US. This is the first time they have included a breakfast plan, the last couple of years values have been completely excluded. This tells me Disney is trying to lure more guest onsite:).

Oh really! This is why I love these boards, I had no idea they excluded the values for UK, good to know, ya I would have to agree then, it's always better if they are adding things to offers rather than subtracting things from offers but of course like you said we just never know..

Oh come on, just join in my madness and make one! We are pretty good savers, so we are hoping for earlier too. :goodvibes

It sounded like most of the crowds are leaving tomorrow as most schools had Easter break last week. Here's hoping! Of course my kids had only Friday and Monday off, so I wouldn't know. I have to pick low crowd times for my ASD boy, so I never would have attempted this week.

November 15-24 was an AWESOME time to go...no crowds til that last day. All the decorations were up, even at the resorts, by the time we left. And, of course, at least there is a chance of free dining in the fall. I doubt that it will ever happen again in the spring. But if a good enough discount comes out for us, I'd take that too. :thumbsup2

OK, here it is! :)

Awesome! Thanks for joining me in my madness! Here's hoping we both get to go sooner! :thumbsup2

I doubt it but a nice thought. Original timeline was Fall 2017 so this is an improvement but will need FD or SPD to make it happen.

It is nice to have a ticker :)

I know this is off topic, but I really want the input of those that read this thread. What moderate would you choose?

Our only mod experience was POR (royal room) and we really enjoyed it. We have been to Pop and to AKL (free upgrade from ASM during Year of Million Dreams) and liked them, too. We have two kids- age 13 and 9- and are fine going to Pop again but prefer the queen beds of most Mods. I am great going to POR again but wonder if we should try POFQ or one of the others. CBR sounds cool except for the size of the resort and double beds (I know a refurb is coming but we hope to go in Sept and assume the odds of queen beds are low). I read mixed reviews of CSR.

Considering we enjoyed POR, should we do it again, try POFQ for something new, or do one of the others. Your feedback will help me make our 1st, 2nd, 3rd choice list.

We enjoyed POR-R AB, preferred location and would definitely do that again. My sister always went to CBR in the past, her husband loved the pirate rooms (but of course they are not queens) and the kids loved the pool. The only thing my sister did not like was the distance the pirate rooms were from everything.
If they do end up with Murphy beds at CBR, we will be trying it there for our next trip. My kids said they wanted to go to the beach at Disney! : ) who am I to refuse?!
Of course, the good thing is, there is likely no wrong decision to this question. They are bound to have fun wherever they stay!

we LOVED POFQ; it was my dream resort to stay there and we managed to get a FD PIN for last October. Quiet and the theming is much more "reserved" than the Value resorts. So glad we stayed there. From now on it will be a Value for my family so we can go more often. The kids want POP for the next trip.

We stayed at CBR last August and really liked it there. My kids are 13 and 10 and really enjoyed it as well. I liked it better than POR.

May I ask what you liked better? I'm booked at CBR now and we've only stayed POR before and loved it there- was looking for a new experience and super fun pools for kids (aged2-10)

We love to try a new resort every time we go to WDW. CBR was one I would absolutely return to. We liked the pool a lot. We also thought that the busses ran much better at CBR than at any other resort we have stayed at. CBR has many bus stops, but it moves very quickly. Some people complain about the walk to get drinks and food. However, I found that it wasn't bad from the building we were in (we had a standard room). There is a great thread about CBR. Everyone on there is very informative about the resort. Have a great time!

This would be our first time with FD and are booked at POR Oct 25-31 before our cruise.

If the resorts suggested for FD come to pass will we need to drop our 10/25 checkin and make it 10/26 in order to take advantage of FD?

Thanks :worship:

You could still do a room only reservation for the 25th, but to get free dining, you would have to check in on the 26th.
