Hi, I'm having trouble figuring out our stay for this fall.

We are trying to figure out whether a stay at Pop or AofA Little Mermaid rooms would be better. Our dates are 10/30 to 11/8. We are a family of four - two adults, one 5 year old, and one 2 year old. Our agent priced out Pop for us at a total price of 2107.00 for non-preferred (6 park day tickets - no park hopper, no water park, no extra options of any kind) and 2252.00 for preferred room. I know there would be no discounts for the LM rooms.

Is this the full rack room rate? I believe it is because there haven't been any discounts out for fall yet. I just want to know if this will also be the exact same cost if free dining comes out like it usually does for this time of year. Or if they will tack any more on.

Thanks to anyone who can answer this. :)

Go to www.disneyworld.com and price out a package with a room and six-day tickets at Pop Century for your dates.

Don't click on any of the special offers - just price it out at the regular rate.

Most likely that is the full rack rate, because no promotions are out for that late in the year yet.

You are quoted correctly for 10 days, 9 nights at Pop September 20-29.
Standard room, 6-day base tickets, and no upgrades/add-ons is $2107.

A LM room at AoA for the exact same time period and tickets, no upgrades/add-ons, is $2201.56. LM is always a little bit higher (about $10/night) than Pop Standard. And yes, always (at least so far) excluded from the promotions. I would not be surprised if that continued through at least the end of this calendar year, as there never is an occupancy problem with those rooms (since there are relatively few of them, and demand is high).

There will be no hidden fees or other charges if/when the free dining promotion is applied to the Pop room package. That is a low-attendance part of the year, and so the rack rate is much lower than it is in peak periods. By comparison, rack-rate Pop Standard room for the same nights and tickets over Thanksgiving would be $2364.68; over Christmas it would be $2822.44.
