*~* FREE DINING and in search of Mickey shaped food! PTR *~*

Joining in!! I arrive at WDW the day after you leave. You have an adorable family and I love how you told your kiddos.

I have to giggle at your husbands insistence at having three meals a day. I had basic last trip and paid for a few meals OOP and felt like that was so much food. After all of the planning I did prior to the trip we did some ADR changes in WDW because we couldn't imagine eating another meal. It is cool you let him win but I have a feeling you will end up being able to say I told you so.

I love POFQ!! Have you tried Wolfgang Puck Express yet? It is my favorite quick service and I consider it one of the best reasons to stay at a Downtown Disney area resort.

Your trip is approaching fast as well. I know it is getting closer because when I check for dining reservations, you don't have to click through as many months!! LOL

Yes, I am worried about the dining plan for sure. I feel like all we will do is eat!! :crazy2: We actually did this in Feb too, and I only remember our Epcot day being WAY too much food where I don't think I even touched my dinner. I never eat the dessert unless they have creme brulee.

We have not tried Wolfgang yet, so I think I will put it on the try list!!
Looking forward to it..

We just paid off our Disney vacation!! 47 days to go!! Can't wait - going into true planning mode now!!!

Congrats on paying off your trip! What an exciting day!

I love the 45 day mark! (and paying off the trip:thumbsup2) Seems like it is REAL now!! This is the time when it starts to go by fast.. Esp since the kids will start school and sports, so we will be busy with that!

Don't worry I'm already packing also. I just hope the next 45 days go by fast!!! It's so hard keeping this secret from the kids. Let's hope I can pull this off!!!

Joining in on your PTR - sounds like you have a great trip coming up!

I loved the idea of turning your kitchen into Chef Mickeys! I can't wait until DS is just a little older and we can creatively surprise him with trip to Disney. So fun!!!

THANK YOU!! We had a ton of fun planning it out. I had a few different ideas, and this was the one that worked out the best. I would love to try sending them a letter or postcard from Disney inviting them to join the characters!! I was thinking a fairy god mailer could send a postcard once the trip was booked. An idea for a future trip I guess!!! :rolleyes1

I really love to surprise the kids and allow them to help us in the planning. They are older now and can understand the waiting process. BTW - we are at 40 days today! Emma and I are in the process of starting our tye dye Mickey head shirts!! Will post pics when we are done!!!

Ok - so I was up late last night adding all the kids school calendar entries into my phone calendar. Our trip is scheduled for Sat. Sept 29th - Mon. Oct 8th which is Columbus day (NO SCHOOL). We did this so that we could go for 10 days without taking the kids out of school for the extra time. WELL!!! The school system must really love me. Why? :confused3 you ask.

THEY also gave the kids the 9th off from school for a teachers inservice!!!

:scratchin so.......What is a girl to do??? You guessed it - I called Disney and booked us for an additional night! :cheer2: We are now going to be there for 10 nights and 11 days!! OMGoodness!!! I am so excited right now. Thankfully we booked on Southwest and we were able to change our flight without incurring any charges. We actually have a $20.00 credit for the next time we fly!! :goodvibes

Tye Dye shirt turnout coming up next!!

So tomorrow is 31 days until the big trip and I am getting very excited! Today the best thing happened.. the moment I have been waiting for!!! popcorn::

YUP - you guessed it.. :woohoo:MICKEY MAIL!!! :woohoo:

I ordered a pair of new shoes too and they arrived today. I will have to start wearing them to break them in. This is what I choose.

I tried them on and so far they seem pretty comfy. They are kind of like a sneaker sandal combo! I ordered a pair for the kids too, now just need to find a pair for DH.

My daughter and I spent some time this weekend making these for thank you mousekeeping cards.

I hope that you like them!!!

ohhhh can you post pics of the shirts? I will post one of the ones I just made that came out pretty good.
I can NOT believe that it is almost time to go. This month is FLYING by. I thought it would drag on, but with the kids starting school and all their activities, it is going by so fast..

OK, so this was my third attempt at the "Mickey Tye Dye" Shirts.... I couldn't get the Mickey shape. I re-read the directions and figured out that I had to do a "Basting" stitch. Well, What is that??? :confused3 I had no idea, so what is a girl to do other than GOOGLE it!! HAHA. So, with my new skills and knowledge I hit the floor running.

This time I did them alone rather than as a family craft. I know this sounds awful, but I wanted to do a trial at it and if I could pull it off we could do another fun family round of it. Turns out they loved the ones I created and were not mad at me for doing it while they were at school. Phew.

So this was the result.

I ran out of color, as I did too many shirts at once with the amount of dye that I had. So? Next time i will be sure to have extra dye on had. I love the design, the Mickey head is a little bigger than I wanted with the kids shirts, but for the most part I was happy with the result.

Hope you all try this!! It is such a neat concept and really you could do this with any design.

So? the these pics need to be rotated, but I am too tired to fix it right now. I will though. SORRY!

love the mousekeeping envelopes! and i can't wait for my mickey mail. what a glorious site!

Thank you.. It was so much easier to make these rather than print out the other ones, esp since I enlisted 9 year old help!! LOL

Mickey Mail is the BEST and it will make your day! Should be very soon for you.

Your shirts look great! I didn't make Mickey shirts this year:-( just regular tye dye shirts. It took two tries this time. The first kit I bought the dye washed out:-( waste of time and money. The ones I did this weekend came out great! If I have time I'll post a few pictures. I'm so excited its just right around the corner. My kids still have no clue they are going to Disney Ina few weeks.
