I have a question --- I will be visiting WDW with a friend during the Free Dining Promotion and have a PAP. I understand that I will have to purchase at least a 2 day ticket in order to be eligible for the free dining (I really don't care, but everyone in the room has to be on the same plan). So on to the question, right now the reservation shows a 7 day PH for me --- when we check in can I get a voucher/ticket for the 7 day PH, not activate it and save it for a future trip?

Yes. Are you at a fastpass+ testing resort or within 45 days? I ask simply because if you are not, it is cheaper for you if everyone just buys the required days for free dining and then upgrades after you arrive (so you dont have to buy such a large ticket).

If you are not too close to arrival to incur change fees, change both passes to 2 day tickets, then upgrade your friend's to 7 days when you arrive. It will be cheaper for you to purchase a 2 day ticket and hold it than it would be to purchase a 7 day ticket and hold it.

We are 19 days out and everything is all paid for --- I don't have a problem paying for a 7 day ticket (2 days would be better but since it is all paid for probably can't change it now). I am basically getting to stay and eat free, I just wanted to make sure I can use my PAP now and save the 7 day for a later trip. We asked Disney reservations if I could switch and they said it would be fine too, just wanted to confirm with the "experts" here on the boards!

We are at POR and part of the MB and FP+ test. Still don't know if I will like the MB or not since I won't even wear a watch to the parks because I don't want any tan lines:) We've also managed to "break" My Disney Experience twice now --- they obviously should have had us beta testing it. It apparently doesn't like two people in the same room linking the same reservation...

We have an AP too and bought a 2D ticket with our POP reservation in order to get FD. First thing we plan to do after checking-in at POP is to go to the concierge desk so they could remove the 2D tickets from our KTTW cards onto separate hard copies of tickets. We want to save the 2D ticket for the future we don't want to risk using it accidentally. Hopefully the concierge will be able to do it since we are getting MBs too!
