We are AP holders. Considering a trip back for free dining in October booking a room with a ticket. Would buy jut a one day ticket. Question: If I do not use it, can I save that one day ticket to use at another date in the future (when we might not have annual passes)? Can I use it to upgrade to a multi-day ticket in the future?

TIA

2- Can I use it to upgrade to a multi-day ticket in the future?

1- Yes

2- Yes.

You can even use to help pay for a future AP or AP renewal.

We use it to renew our AP's..$80 x's 5 people = $400 off our AP renewal. You do have to do this in person.

You will be required to buy a two-day ticket for this Free Dining promotion. (In case that matters to you).

(And, all of the same answers above would still apply.)

Okay. No I guess it doesn't matter since I am just going to save it to do an new AP or other ticket. Another question- can I add a GAD voucher?

So, if I use the 2 day ticket I have to buy and add the value of the GAD voucher to buy, say a 10 day pass or an AP renewal? We have one GAD voucher from volunteer work this summer.

Thanks!

Thanks!

Yep to everything above and you can even use the value of the tickeet to apply to your AP renewal if that is an option to you too. (This is what we do.)

1- Not to an upgrade that ALSO involves upgrading another ticket.
2- Cannot combine multiple tickets in one upgrade.

In the case of the GAD, you can upgrade it to a longer ticket,
or (if you have a valid multi-day ticket in your possession at the time) use it
to get GAD FastPasses (or a token gift.)

that one is a no, can't stack unused tickets to apply toward one new ticket.

If we book FD with 4 people and get two day tickets for each, can one person use all the tickets or are they in each person's name. For example, my DS will be able to get 3 of us in on his maingate pass(he will be in the College Program) so could the 4th person have the other tickets to use(even upgrading to hoppers)?

5- (even upgrading to hoppers)?

1- Yes.

2- Nope.

3- Sounds great!

4- Yes.

5- Yes.

BUT, it would be a very expensive thing to do to actually USE more than ONE of those tickets for one person IN THE SAME TRIP.

So, just use one ticket for the extra person and upgrade that one ticket to the number of days needed.
(Hold onto the other new tickets for use on a future trip.)

Opon check-in at the resort, have the desk clerk issue the tickets separately from the room key-cards.

The way Disney prices their tickets you pay the most for the first three days then it is only a couple of dollars for each day after that. I would just upgrade one of the tickets and save the other three.

Don't want to add further confusion but have you ran the AP room discount price and comparted it to the cost of the package for 'free dining'. Sometimes you come out better take the AP discount and paying for your food out of pocket, depending on your resort and travel party and eating habits.

Robo and Dzorn--Thanks so much for the "insightful" answers! My DS is not officially a CM yet(he checks in Aug. 9) and we have been just trying to figure out the best deal for us in December. When I called Disney they said the tickets were issued to each person individually and I really didn't think that was correct. Having one of us upgrade and keeping the rest is an option I hadn't come up with yet. That will give an excuse for planning a trip next year:cool1:

I find that any excuse is a good one! :thumbsup2

If you have a GAd pass can someone else use it? We have free dining and have 10 day hopper pass that we want to upgrade to AP's but will have DD and DSIL visit with us and we want to get them into Disney.

What is the best way to do that?

1- Sorry, not "legal" as a park ticket for another guest to use.
2- That's a good plan.
3- They'll need to purchase WDW tickets. You could order from one of the
authorized ticket discounters and save (a few) bucks.

Your GAD can be used (one GAD per day is enough) for special FP's for EACH of the members of your group.
