Free dining 2015?

I received an email discount and when I called about it I asked about last year's email discount where I got free dining at the end of August. The cast member told me that Disney was being very stingy this year with discounts.

Yeesh we're booked for riverside but since we will be there 10 nights i am willing to change hotels if i can get free dining

We are booked there too and I would change in a heartbeat for free dining as well! I gave my travel agent like 4 other resort choices we would be okay with just in case!!

Got free dining for aug 22-29 this year booed last aug then upgraded to POR later and was offered free dining I don't know the dates it's available.

Free dining always is going away every year, and every year it always comes back. As do the room discounts. No matter what, I think we will get something.

POR has only been ineligible one year (last year), so not sure if it will be this year or not. The only rooms at Art of Animation that are never eligible are the Little Mermaid Standard Rooms (they are never eligible for ANY discounts). With everyone booking into CBR this year, I wouldn't be surprised if they allowed POR but not CBR this time.

There will be free dining. Profits are not up. They had to lay off about 70 bus drivers a few months ago. That tells me profits are not where they should be! September will always be a low booking month, so if anything, they will offer free dining for September, and fewer dates in October through December. Disney has now caught on that a lot of school districts across the US now have Fall Breaks, so that's why most of October was blacked out last year and I expect it will this year as well.

Now if we just knew when they are going to release it! I suspect the first of May, but I have heard some serious rumors that Disney Visa promo is going to be released this week. I highly doubt that though. I still think it will be first of May.

I forgot to note that there is always a room discount released as well. If you're booking a deluxe resort, it might be better for you to look at the discount rather than the free dining to see which really saves the most money. In the deluxe category, the discount is usually a much bigger savings.

Oh I so wish it would be possible in Nov/Dec. we used to go almost every year 07' 09' 10' 11' 12' however I now have Chronic Lyme Disease, a lot of $$$ for my care, not much energy & would need a scooter for sure. ( I don't know personally if having to use one would be a inconvience, I never oil at it as others using one is an issue, maybe it's my acceptance for myself)

Hi! I have a chronic illness similar to Lyme, and is just want to reassure you if you do go the scooter isn't that bad. If it's the only way to handle it, then that's all that will matter once you're there. I have only needed it for one day but this fall I will need it daily, I felt wierd on the bus as you and your party goes in first and I was afraid some people would give us stink eye but even if they do, they are the jerks not you there's lots of info and support here in the disABILITIES board if you need!!!!!

I've never pulled a tick out of my skin, however they are a vector ( uck blood for their food) like Mosquitos, fleas, sand flies AND nymph ticks are the size of the period at the end of this sentence.

The free disney dining is where they just slap on a free dining plan to your full price package reservation (room + tickets). It's quick service for Value resorts, regular dining plan for moderate resorts, and I think it goes up from there.

I Agree. Also to say they do not need the free dinning to fill the rooms is not necessarily true.

We go every year during October/November but we always take advantage of free dining. If there was not free dining we would not go every year and we would not stay nearly as long. I think there are many people in the same boat and I think the free dining is necessary to make it worth it to entice people to come...especially since families have to take the kids out of school during that period to visit.

To simply look at the current numbers of visitors is not indicative of anything since most people are there utilizing the free dining discount.

Even in the darkest of days...any single promotion is offered only to a somewhat small proportion of the rack...

By far the largest number of visitors on every single day are there using a traditional, not "free dining" package... Notably AAA, libgo, virgin, wdtc, etc...

Free dining is also unveiled "last minute" and that means that 80% of the bookings have been done long ago...

Looking in say - April - for dates in August or October or November does qualify as "last minute" here.

POFQ was included in Sept '12 Free Dining. But then for our 9/14 trip it was excluded. So, it may or may not be excluded this year. Depends on what their bookings look like.

Yes but im talking about a free dining code that i got via e-mail for my res the last 2 weeks of august

I saw on another site that someone said that Free Dining was going to be announced to Visa Cardholders 4/27 and to the general public 4/30 or 5/1. Holding my breath!

I see that there are some predictions about when it will be released does anyone have a good guess as to dates? I know I'm way overthinking this but this will be my first trip and I'm trying to figure out what dates would actually work for us to go.
