Wow, I guess I'm glad that I wasn't on the boards last year at FD time. I was, but we didn't decide to go until after it was already out for a few weeks, so I wasn't following the FD thread. I am grateful for any info Joe digs up, and he makes it clear that it is his best estimate based on info he has, and that it is not in stone. Either way it is better than any guess I could come up with. I have fun just hanging out with everyone here laughing at how crazy we all are, as we wait not so patiently. Joe don't let the haters get you down.....from the last time I looked almost 2000 people "like" you ;) Keep up what your doing, we appreciate you:cheer2:

Awwww...I LOVE your avatar!:flower2:

So, any chance Visa card holders could get early access to FD tomorrow morning??? Or are we thinking the early visa offer will be Monday?.. Or I suppose, maybe not early at all:confused3
Thanks for your input!:thumbsup2

I have learned so much from these boards! I appreciate all the work that goes into keeping the MaGiC of DiSnEy! I have much of our trips planned out and prepared, we are coming on a week that is usually excluded and changing is not an option, we are also not interested in changing our resort if by some slim chance we could get FD our week but not at our resort. We will bite the bullet and hope for the best. I follow the boards because of the people on it. I read, I listen, I learn. There always seem to be new things that I pick up on each time I log in. I read the boards to pass the time until the next phase of the planning process. I love hearing about other people's plans and it makes me happy to know that Disney makes others as happy as it makes me. I can't thank you all enough for all of your help and support in keeping the magic alive!
:thanks: :disrocks:

It runs on a Monday/Thursday schedule. That's why I said with the April 21/May 1 dates, it's actually only a 4 day span, not a two week span.

So, for Visa/Public offers, for example, April 21/24 or May 1/5.

As I've shared earlier, there's an awful lot going on at the beginning of May that would warrant overtime hours.

Short time lurker...just found you folks about a week ago...long time Disney lover, when we took our kids (now 24 and 29) there was a Disney Club you could join and you pretty much got the deluxe plan of everything, moderate hotel (used to love the Disney Inn, now Shades of Green)park hopper with water parks, meals anything you wanted at any meal, free golf, classes at the studios , use of the boats etc, am sure I could not afford it now, but back then it was quite a steal 5 nights 6 days 2 adults and 2 kids all for under $1000.

Celebrated our 30th and just missed the food and wine fest, so now going to celebrate our 32nd at the food and wine fest. We bought the dining plan last time because no one told us about FD, so am hoping we planned it right this time. Am thoroughly enjoying all of the posts and the wonderful comradery, thanks for letting me lurk!

Thanks Black! That is what I expected, but I wasn't sure if Disney had it up their sleeve to mix things up with a Friday early Visa release. :confused3

I was up early this morning hoping to book my room and FD - I've turned into a crazed FD addict!!! Just hoping for my life back ASAP :badpc:

Black, do you think the moderates will get the ddp or the qs plan this year? I'm wondering if they will change it to qs since seeing next years uk offer.

So true. So true. I am reluctant to join in any other threads on DIS because a lot of them tend NOT to be at ALL like these free dining threads!
I was seriously shocked at some of the reactions on here last year though!
You'll have plenty of us to defend you this year again if things get ugly Joe. And i think your fan club is growing! Thanks for everything you do Joe, and hopefully we'll be doing this again next year when perhaps I have a chance of taking advantage of the FD offer!
Until then, I can't wait to hear everyone else's exciting stories!

I am new to this thread and I actually posted a thank you to all of you I think 2 nights ago because of this exact thing. I have felt unwelcome on a lot of the threads. The nastiness and sarcasm had kept me from saying anything. I am shocked that people would hold Black responsible if a date doesn't pan out but at the same time after being on other threads I know I shouldn't be. Thank you again everyone.

Makes more sense with the other promo ending at the same time... thanks for all the updates! I personally have a while to wait cause we aren't going til December but hopeful it may come out sooner too or I get a pin like last year in May... Couldn't go though cause we had a new baby

Wondering this too bc DH and I are taking a day trip to Lancaster Co PA tomorrow morning. I'll no doubt be checking here before we leave.

Btw.... I wasn't around for the "drama" last year (glad I wasn't) Just started following this thread a few days ago. So far it's been a fun and informative ride!!! :thumbsup2

I wanted to share some thoughts on a few things. I saw a post in a facebook group this morning that dug up some unpleasant thoughts that happened about a year ago. Most of you know what happened, so I won't get into that. However, I think something needs pointed out about this whole process.

In my time here in the Dis, I have seen rumors and leaks for every promo, by so many different people, myself included. Some have come, some have gone, but all of them had one thing in common. No rumor...no leak has ever been 100%....not me, not anyone before me. Even those who have had actual leaked info from inside Disney....things always change at the last minute, and we all know this, and we've all seen this.

But here's the shocker. It isn't about who nails a date first, or who puts out the information before someone else. This is about getting some information in front of people, so they can then ask questions and become prepared for when that day arrives. This is about everyone having their resorts, and backups, and everything planned out and ready to go. As you all know, knowing early gets you nothing on release day. Someone could see it online that morning and end up calling in ahead of you. The only thing this information does is allow you time to ask questions, get some answers and be prepared.

Everyone in here have been so helpful in answering questions and getting correct information to the right people. I've always welcomed that (even putting a few folks on the spot a time or two). I don't do any of this for praise or worship, but rather because Disney World holds a deep personal connection for me, and I want others to have a chance for a similar experience.

So whether the date is April 21, or May 1.....the important thing is that we are all ready for it. You've asked your questions, you've all been given answers, made your plans, ready to go.

This post wasn't directed at anyone in particular, but there always seems to be someone out there who wishes failure upon others. We saw that last August unfortunately, but everyone here was so quick to let them know they weren't welcome around here. While I'm not here for praise, I think we all deserve respect.

I just wanted to thank you all for one heck of a year.....and what's sure to be a wild ride to come.

Now....where are those tights? :confused3

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Ephesians 4:29

I am so sorry that there are people in this world that are immature and selfish enough that they feel that they have to tear someone down when they don't get what they "think" they deserve.
But I am so thankful for people, like you, that sees a need and shares it with everyone, not for your benefit but out of the graciousness of your heart so that we can all benefit.

Black, there are many ways to give a gift. It does not have to be something you can hold in your hands, but something you can hold in your heart or in your mind. You are one the most generous, giving persons for sharing the gifts of your time and your knowledge with all of your "friends" and Disney addicts here on the the Disboards. I am thankful for you! :goodvibes

Yes, but I read that next year they are only offering breakfast at values for the uk.

The UK version for 2015 will offer
Values- free breakfast, the past couple of years values have gotten nothing I believe
Moderates - QS plan, same as last couple of years
Deluxe - DDP, same as last couple of years

In the past they have also gotten a gift card, but that was not mentioned so they will have to wait and see if the offer includes other incentives. The UK version should not be looked at as what Disney may or May not do with the US offer.
