Free dining 2013

Just wondering I thought I would get free dining as I'm staying at CSR in sept 2013 but just been realised I have been charged for it

I booked it though Thomson can anyone help

Was it on offer at the time, it's not something you automatically get, you have to keep checking when it is available!

It depends when you booked. It wasn't there for all 2013 bookings regardless of when you booked.

Free Quick Service dining was available if you booked during selected dates.

When did you book and how much have you paid for the dining?

I'm wondering if you have paid just for the upgrade from Quick Service to the regular Dining Plan.

"Disney Free Dining offer is available for bookings made by 11 Feb 2013 for stays 7 Apr - 8 Dec 2013, inclusive"

It is also of note that the offer that ended in Feb was only for free QS. I know because I got it and paid for the upgrade. The offer that included free regular DDP at deluxes preceded this one.

If I were you I would definitely do your homework on the one before going back to Thomson. We booked with them the last time we went and I knew that we were eligible for free dining at the time of booking. we made the booking in a high street branch and the free dining was not automatically applied. I the queried this with the sales staff, who did not appear to know anything about free dining and looked at me as if I was mad. She made a phone call and all was then confirmed. This was for the quick service package.
We later decided to upgrade to the table service package and I worked it out that we needed to pay an additional £180 give or take. Thomson however worked out the extra to be nearly £900 and told my wife that she needed to take it or leave it. I sorted the matter out after a heated conversation and an apology. It appears that the staff are not fully briefed on the rules around applying the dining plan and it certainly is not added automatically when the booking window is open.

well the booking one is difficult one to answer as i booked it last year to go in may but have to change the booking to go in sept and i did that in feb

I'm guessing maybe your earlier booking was cancelled,and one in Feb classed as a whole new booking- possibly after 11th Feb- and therefore cancelled out your free dining.

Alternatively,it could simply be an error on your booking,and you may still be entitled to fd.

I would check your paperwork for dates,and contact thomsons.

generally If you "change" your holiday the agency rebooks a new holiday and the old one is cancelled down. so when you changed, the FD was possibly not available x
