Free Dining 2008 Watch

Well, I tried to get free dining starting Sept. 20th. I thought that if you booked your trip starting on the 20th that you could get free dining for the duration of the stay, but the CM told me that wasn't the case . Oh, well.

I'll still be going, but it'll cost a bit more. I still booked the dining plan, and have reservations for the Crystal Palace, Hollywood & Vine w/Fantasmic, Tokyo Dining, Jiko, Cinderella's Royal Table, and Le Celier. It'll be my first time back to Disney World since 1979!

You should probably call back and talk to a different CM.

From reading this thread, I'm pretty sure people have been doing exactly what you tried to do since Monday morning and have gotten free dining for stays beginning on the 20th.

I have read dozens of posts stating that they got FD from the 20th on..... Definately call back!!!

Anyone else having a challenging time making ADRs? It seemed that when I called at lunchtime, the CM I spoke to said "Dinners are hard to come by" ???

Pop Century 9/20-9/26, standard room:

9/20: Dinner in Germany (CM said show at 5:50) at the Biergarten
9/21: Dinner at Sci-Fi--I *LOVE* that place!
9/22: Breakfast in Norway with the princesses
9/23: Breakfast at Chef Mickey's
9/24: Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare
9/25: Birthday dinner with Cinderella!

DO IT ONLINE NOW!!!! if you haven't been able to get what you want. I just got for a friend the All Star Music SUITE, YES the family suite for 09/04-09/09 for 5 people with 6day MYW base Tickets, for 2200.


I am studying to become a travel agent so next time this year I hope i will wake up at the crack of dawn to help all of you.

I made my ressies this morning ONLINE for POP Century 08/27-09/01 1358.00 and got what I wanted, my travel agent was NOT able to get me that, she offered my 4th choice(Sports) so I said, no thanks. So I did good!!!

I started calling at 6:58, only had to dial back twice because they were not open yet. As soon as I got connected, I was on hold for 1 hour 15 minutes. But got the sweetest, most helpful CM named Stacy and I got exactly what I wanted:

9/19 -9/24 POR standard room
me, dh , dd (6) and dd (almost 3 ) 5 night, 6 day park hopper MYW with free dining (basic)..

I cannot wait!

I just want tmy husband to see that i am not the only Disney obssesed planner fan, in the world. He thinks i am nuts when it come to WDW.

Last yeat I had my lime green Mickey heads hanging from my stroller and bags, even the kids backpacks, and nobody identified themselves as Disers

7 nights August 24-31st at Port Orleans Riverside I just have to add magical express cause I forgot to Ooppss....

Anyways, total cost for me hubby and our 9 yearold was $2140.67, that was for 7 day magic your way plus park hopper and water park and more option

I am very excited, time to start planning!!

Yes one year I reserved AKL and had some financial difficulties and I tried to down grade, and kept callng but nothing cheaper was available I called almost everyday thru 06/22.

But I did some extra work, and got the $ and went anyway, ther was no way I was not going to Disney!!

Now, on 2006 it was the other way around I had POP reserved and then I wanted to upgrade and NOTHING was available no moderate or AKL or WLR They just had GF and not on our budget at all, so I stuck to POP and it was still great.

SO, Book and then cancel before or on the due date if needed, and they will return your 200.00. At least you would have something to fall on. Oh and book only one day ticket, you can always upgrade later until 48 hours before your trip.


Added: AND make your ADR's NOW!!!! this is advice for everyone, make as many as you can and plan!!!! what day/what park, because they are booking up very quick, if you then are not coming or need to cancel, just call and cancel.(but please do cancel because a lot of people want your ressie, and it is only fair)

I just did, and got Free Dining! All I had to do was start the trip day a day earlier, so I'll be there for 8 days instead of 7. I can live with that !

You should call back. Many other people have booked it that way. Maybe your resort is full or maybe the CM doesn't know what they are talking about. It is worth another try!!

I have seen many say they have...I would call back and try a different CM..it might be worth a try.

I called this morning, one hour on hold, then I got the sweetest CM who tried my request of ASM family suite, and she said it went through and I could book it! With three DD, two bathrooms is a must!

We (total of 5) are booked from 9/5 to 9/11, 7 day MYW PH tickets, with free dining!

Total with trip insurance, $2753.57
