Free Clear at Orlando Airport

If you are flying out of Orlando International Airport between 5am-11am you can use Clear for free.
The airport will be really bad the next few days with all the canceled flights today because of the snow storms.

They’ve publicized it since Fall but unless you’re watching for news on the Orlando airport specifically you’d miss it. It’s a test program for Clear, only available at MCO right now, so getting word out to non-locals is pretty hard.

Do note, this is free but it is not the Clear program we see at airports. It’s a program called Reservation Lane Powered by Clear. It does not use the Clear lanes and does not use biometrics. It just generates a QR code for you to scan at a certain time to bypass the id check line. The article below puts it best, it’s like a Fastpass for the TSA line.

FWIW this article says MCO Twitter says TSA Pre is not available from this Reserve By Clear lane, so those with Pre-Check be aware.

Looks like there’s no downside to signing up. If I was looking at using normal TSA at MCO I would try this.

I do have the pre-check, so that helped, but with all of the flight cancellations due to weather earlier in the week, even the pre-check line was insane.
