Free checked bags?

I was on another site, where a woman posted several Disney tips for staying at a Disney resort. Most I knew about, but one I was surprised about:

•FREE LUGGAGE on return flights – they have an agreement with most major airlines so that if you check in for your return flight from the hotel they will check in your luggage for FREE!

Has anyone heard of this? If this is true, that is awesome! With souveniers, I will definintely need to check my luggage on the way home, and would love to save the fee.

They'll check it, but it's not free. There is just no extra fee to check it at your resort. You still have to pay the airline's checked baggage fees.

If you have the option of fling southwest, each ticket holder gets 2 free checked bags per flight. We are a family of 5, we don't need ten bags, but we do take about 6 packed with clothes and I always take an empty one because we buy so much stuff.
