We are staying off site and I thought I read somewhere that there was a free boat ride from Downtown Disney to the Boardwalk. Can anyone take this boat ride to get there or only on site guests. We have never gone to the Boardwalk and thought we might take a peak tonight after we walk around Downtown Disney. Thanks for your help.

The boat from POFQ & POR goes to DTD. At the Boardwalk it goes to the Studios & Epcot.

No, there is a boat that goes to Downtown Disney from a Disney resort (Port Orleans).

The Boardwalk has boats that run from Epcot (International Gateway) and stops at the Yacht and Beach Club, the Boardwalk Inn, and the Swan and Dolphin, then on to Disney Hollywood Studios.

You best bet is to visit the Boardwalk after either Epcot or DHS. You can walk over from either, or take the boats.

Anyone can take the boats. We've done it a few times when we stayed on property and we were never asked to show a resort ID.

boats are for any one really.
The DTD boats go to Port Orleans - riverside/french quarter, Old Key West, Saratoga Springs. As well as rotate around DTD from MarketPlace, Pleasure Island, West Side.
Epcot Boats - International Gateway, boardwalk, Yacht and Beach Club, Swan and Dolphin, Studios.
MK Boats - Poly, Grand, Wilderness Lodge, Ft Wilderness. And there's a set of Bay Lake boats that rotate, Fort Wilderness, Wilderness Lodge, Contemp.
