I got this in an email today.

If you are a mother who likes to carry her babies around in a sling, a soon to be mother who is interested in trying something like that out or are just looking for a really nice baby shower gift at an inexpensive price, we at Just Kids Resale wanted to let you know about a deal we just discovered yesterday.

If you go to the website: www.sevenslings.com and enter the promo code "halloween" at checkout, you can get one of their slings for FREE or a $39 credit towards something more expensive. All you have to do is pay $11.95 shipping and handling.

GREAT DEAL! I have no idea how long this promotion will last, so I would encourage you to take advantage of it soon if it is something that interests you.

This deal has been around for a while. Mixed reviews on the sling. You're basically buying a sling for $12. Some say the fabric is really thin and don't like it. Others say for $12 not bad.

FYI - on the Babycenter boards, the babywearing mamas say this sling is really bad. I wouldn't pay $12 for it (and I LOVE good deals). Save your money and buy a used hotslings and you will know your baby is safe. (I am a BIG babywearing lover now with my DD who is now 6 mths!)

Thanks for letting others know that there are mixed reviews on this. Sadly, my "babies" are too big to be worn most of the time. Occasionally I can still get DS (age 4) into a Mei Tai carrier if we find ourselves walking more than we had planned.

I'm not looking forward to this day!

This is my review from a previous post:

I wouldn't mind using it for short trips to the mall with a toddler (1yo or older). But not any long trips or babies younger. The material is very unforgiving and rather scratchy.
But for $12 I don't mind keeping it in my purse for emergency ("Mama... UP!"-moment) at the mall/doctor's office/etc.

I heard this is basically the same company that was doing the "free" nursing covers a while back...didn't they have some pretty shady policies, and a pretty poor shipping track record?
