Has anyone used an online auction company that you can use for free? Also has anyone done auctions?

I've used 32auctions.com before and they have a free version.

It's pretty basic but for us it got the job done and if you don't mind spending a little bit of money they do have some cool paid features too.

I've administered charity auctions online. If you take credit cards, be prepared to pay the merchant fee for the credit cards. Nothing is ever "free."

Any information that anyone has I’d love. I never did this before. I’m thinking of just putting a few things for auction. I am planning on baskets. What do u think will sell really good?

Any site that had a good audience of buyers isn't going to be free. If there is money being exchanged for the goods, then the site is going to have to have some sort of customer service and so they would need income to provide that. I think you would be better off using one of the big name selling sites and paying the fees.

^^ I agree, it costs $$$ for anyone to run a website. If you pick some obscure 'free' site you have no idea if it is legit or some sort of scam and if they only have a small user base, your item may not get any bidders. I would never use an obscure site to place a bid since you have no idea if some others actually associated with that site just bid to drive up the price.
