On our next trip we plan to have a couple of days relaxing at the resort, BWV. I'd like to know which activities in that area are free, and around what time of day they occur (morning, afternoon, evening, later at night). I know the pool is wonderful there, but what else is there? Our two sons will be with us and they will be 3 and 5 when we go. We'll be looking to do a couple of things without spending a ton of extra money. Thanks!

Free movies at night on the beach at the BC. I think they even give you the schedule if you're staying at BW. Ask if they don't give you one, they probably have it.

There are activities for the children during the day at the Community Center. Some could cost money, some are free.

There are Wi "tournaments." I think this was around 10:30 when we were there in March. DSis was the only one who went one day, she was thrilled, because she never did it before. I've never used one either, but I was doing other things that morning.

If you have the inclination, go to the campfire at FW. They have sing along and Chip and Dale make an appearance. Other than Chip/Dale, you also have a campfire at BC.

I would head over to the AKL/V to see the animals with the children. Plan to eat at the Mara, see the flamingos. It would be hard because no pool hopping to AKV either Jambo or Kidani.

If pool hopping is allowed when you're there, our DGC were 2, 3 and 4 when we pool hopped to POR. Their pool is fun, with showers, a slide that was easy for all of the three, and they have an "Ole Fishing Hole" that doesn't cost much to fish at. It costs nothing to go over and see it...I think it's best in the morning.

What types of children's activities are free and what types have a fee at Community Hall? Also, is the fee low? Could anyone maybe give me an example of something recent?

Movie night at BC sounds great, as does a campfire. I don't think we would travel all the way to FW just to see Chip & Dale when we could have a campfire right across the lake at BC.

Is there also entertainment on the Boardwalk that is free, like strolling entertainers?

Hi: Yes they do have entertainers on the boardwalk. They have had magicians, jugglers, the person riding a bike and playing a keyboard, and singers. You can check the schedule when you check in.
