I found this post on the Mousesaver website:

It turns out certain Dolphin and Swan restaurants (Shula's, BlueZoo, Palio, Kimono's) offer complimentary child care for up to 2 hours with the restaurant receipt. And this includes your child's meal, supervised activities, a supervised trip to the game room (at no cost to parents), and a trip to Tubbi's ice cream shop. The lady who runs the place, Thelma, is a no nonsense Jamaican woman and has several helpers oversee the kids. Juliet absolutely adored her, as did we.

So-- please tell your readers they can get up to 2 hours of free child care if they eat at the better Swan/Dolphin restaurants."

We will be staying at the Swan and my husband loves steak and sushi. Can anyone confirm that this "free" child care for up to 2 hrs. with a restaurant receipt, is still valid? Is there a limit to one child per adult - we have 3 kids under the age of 10? Who can I call to find out if this offer is still good? (I realize this post may be old since Tubbi's is no longer there.) Even a 2 hr. break from the kids will be nice - we have a 7 night stay planned - don't misinterpret me, I love my kids...

Searching around the web, I found an email link for the Camp Dolphin. I told them I have 3 kids, all under 10 and wanted to see if the 2 hrs. free child care if we ate at Shula's (Swan/Dolphin) or the two other restaurants was true! :cool1:

IT IS TRUE!!! And as long as bring them our dinner receipt, all THREE of the kids can stay free for 2 hrs.!! I have a feeling they will want to stay LONGER than 2 hrs. Here's what Lorena Pernalete, Recreation Coordinator emailed me:

Thank you for your interest in our services. The age range for Camp is 4-12, and there is something to do for this whole age range. We have crafts, XBOX, Playstation 2, Nintendo Game Cube, and many other games and activities. From 7-8PM we go to one of our restaurants for dinner (included in the $10/hr. price), then from 8-9PM we go to the arcade and give the children a handful of tokens to play. The evening ends with a Disney movie.

We do offer two hours complementary per child, if you go to either Shula's Steakhouse or bluezoo. All you have to do is give us a copy of the receipt when picking the children up. If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to e-mail me back, or call Camp at 407-934-4241.

No problem. Answering your question; it will include all three of the children as long as you bring the receipt back to us. If you are interested you can call 407-934-4241 and make a reservation for Camp Dolphin. If you have any other questions feel free to email me back or call directly Camp Dolphin at the number above and we will be more than happy to answer any questions that you may have.

Thank you, and have a magical day!!!!

Thank you for your interest in Camp Dolphin. Here is the page you can visit: http://www.swandolphin.com/play/campdolphin.html. Regarding the reservation there is no real deadline, we recommend to make reservations at least 2-3weeks in advance. If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to e-mail me back, or call Camp at 407-934-4241.

So even if we eat at Shulas or bluezoo (I'm sure we could share some food items - a salad, vegetable and/or dessert - someone said their bill for 2 people at Shulas was $200!!), and let the 3 kids say for an additional hour - that would be 3 hrs. total - it would only cost us $30 -- the first two hours would be free and the last hour at $10 x 3 kids would only cost us $30. I'm getting excited too! We could actually go out by the pool or hot tub ALONE and then out to dinner. Then pick up the kids and go someplace to watch the fireworks! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Anyone have any suggestions where to watch the fireworks outside near the Swan - I don't know what time the show starts...

We sat on the beach over near the swan boats one night and could see a little bit of Illuminations, as well as the MK fireworks in the other direction.

While we ate at Tubbi's one night the gang from Camp Dolphin came in to eat. DH and I commented to ourselves we wouldn't hesitate to use them, the group seemed like they were having a good time and very well supervised.

We're doing the bluezoo / Camp Dolphin combo in a few weeks! I've had it booked for awhile now. :)
