Hello everyone - here I am in Fredericksburg, Va which until yesterday no one who didn't have an interest in the Civil War knew even existed. Now everyone knows - The Michael's is right in front of our mall and I drive past it twice a day going to my parents house. It's so weird and scary - the woman who was wounded has been moved from serious to stable, TG! Being a week away from D-Day (Disney Day :D ), I had several things to pick up - and every time I walked out to my car from a store I wanted to duck and weave - really! I felt like, and actually found my self hunching my shoulders. I left my DD with my mom and rushed as quick as I could through my shopping. I don't know which will be worse - finding out whoever is doing this is just some home-grown crazy or finding out its another terrorist attack. Please send Prayers and PD for the poor woman and her family. (Her 3 kids were with her) :(

It is sad, isn't it, that people can do that to us. My prayers and best wishes for her and all the others, along with families, affected by these senseless actions. My best also for the people living in the area.

Please do enjoy your first trip to the World next week. :sunny:

We stayed in Fredericksburg just last week on our way home from WDW! And yes I have heard of it before! DH and I are Civil War buffs, and we visited DS last year at Jamboree at A.P. Hill. This is so frightening and random:(

I am in C'ville and I had no idea it was so close...I don't want to end up freaked out everytime I need to go out the darn door!

This whole thing is nuts. It hit too close to home since my DH grew up in Montgomery Co and FIL lives in Alexandria. Now, the news was saying that maybe they know who the guy was doing the shooting (someone from Raleigh, NC) - where I live. And I find myself this morning watching for any and all suspicious cars. DH said suspect is in jail. Whoo!!

It's scary!

I do hope the lady makes out ok. I feel so sorry for her and the people that lost their lives and their families.

How can someone be so evil? It's chilling. These poor people were just doing ordinary things and out of the blue someone takes their life. No robbery, no motive. It's sad and bewildering.

I hope they find the person or persons involved quickly and throw the book at them.

Annemarie
